Is anyone else feeling like this already about the season?

Surprised people aren't enjoying it. I guess given the way the latest CBB's and BB15 have been though with constant negativity and arguments people must be used to that now and prefer that over what we're getting now with BB16 which is far better imo.

I much prefer nicer houses hate bitchy series

zakman440 17-05-2015 11:14 PM

Nah, I'm quite enjoying it. There's a few housemates who are annoying me a bit but on the whole it's been a good first week so far and the cast is mostly likeable. The twist on Friday was pointless and the upcoming outside perception task but I'm hoping that they won't put a dampener on things too much.

zakman440 17-05-2015 11:15 PM

Just to add as well, this series is making me want Live Feed more than ever so that can only be a good thing...

Withano 17-05-2015 11:18 PM

Disappointed with the twists and the cast but it's not draining, comic relief has been more regular than many recent series'. Still just about 'worth watching' for me.

Razor 17-05-2015 11:40 PM

No

Kizzy 17-05-2015 11:50 PM

The characters are too one dimensional... bored.com

Locke. 17-05-2015 11:53 PM

Average start but I like the housemates so I'll stick with it a little while and hope for an improvement

Mystic Mock 17-05-2015 11:58 PM

My main issue with this season is it's one dimensional in a different way to BB15, instead of constant arguments we've got constant sex talk instead and I know which one I can handle more of and it certainly isn't the latter.

This is why we need Live Feed back though so we could get interesting conversations from these people.

For 4 years the viewers have told them what's missing (the live feed) and what there's been too much of (nomination twists, stupid tasks, etc.) and they respond by continuing with no live feed and giving us more twists and even dumber tasks.

They have lost all sight of the fact that this is an interactive show that lives or dies by how engaged the viewers are with it. Something that is becoming increasingly impossible for viewers to do as the trust between them and the show evaporates.

I'll quote the Executive producer of BB Canada...

"Since they can watch you 24/7 online, you have to tell true stories, you have to tell people’s true experiences, and you can’t make up some cagey reality thing. You don’t have that choice. You’re held accountable to the truth of the experience with those houseguests. That’s why it really is an authentic social experiment."

I continue to love the concept of putting 12 - 16 different people in a house and seeing how they get along and what stories develop. But I have lost all faith in the producers to get out of the way. They seem to see it as little more than a vehicle to celebrate themselves and their "genius" ideas which leave most of us invariably feeling underwhelmed.

Its a good series so far.
Give it a chance ben

I think the main issue is no live feed its really needed

YES!

I switched it off as soon as that contestant read out she had to do a lap dance.....cringe! Not putting up with cringe stuff and excessive bad language. The contestants are not interesting either - all there to achieve celebrity status -
y a w n !

Adamw92 18-05-2015 12:26 AM

I'm enjoying it but it's all gonna come down to how the next 3 or 4 evictions go for whether I'll stick with it.

No one watches them, they are a waste of time.

I started watching Big Brother because I came in one night about 1 am and saw Dean, Bubble, Amma and Narrinder talking around a camp fire that they had to keep going 24/7. It was listening them talk about their lives and interests that made me warm to them and want to carry on watching.

Big Brother built its name on the back of those feeds and actually, with social media being what it is today, the feeds would lend themselves very well to it as a constant source of discussion throughout the day.

The fact is, people got their hopes up when Channel 5 brought the show back and they have been disappointed ever since. The channel and show have earnt such bad will for themselves it's hardly surprising that epople have given up on it. Any quick analysis of the situation will tell you that when there is more live coverage the viewing figures in general go up along with the passionate debate it leads to on the forums during the day.

These days the forums are dead, there's no sense of excitement, no spontaneity, nothing. It is uninspired, cheap, tacky and boring. All the technical advancements and yet a better service was offered 12 years ago than what we get today. It is pathetic. The website is crap, the twitter updates are just a complete joke (they may as well stop doing them altogether) and the viewing figures remain far below what they could have been had they bothered to listen to what the fans wanted years ago. This being an interactive show, that's what you'd think they would do, but no. Fingers in ears and carrying on as if there's no problem.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 18-05-2015 12:55 AM

i think it's been great so far

jyunga 18-05-2015 02:19 AM

This cast feels like old school HM casts. I'm really enjoy it.

newsbb 18-05-2015 02:53 AM

um iam actually loving it

andybigbro 18-05-2015 02:55 AM

I feel like you haven't given it much of a chance yet. It's not even been 1 full week.

But I actually have high hopes for this series :D

aman201 18-05-2015 03:00 AM

Poor so far.

And some of these "twists" have been embarrassing.

Same! As well as what other dud twists they pull out of the bag.

854 18-05-2015 04:03 AM

No they think we are stupid with these twists. the hm are in a hot house with no public contact so of course they are gonna fall for it.

I really hope this season has a super early finale date. Day like 50 or something lolz. It's so bad. Maybe they'll get it right next year after a couple of CBB seasons so they can be more diverse.

I did switch off about midway last night. I was bored and decided to read instead.

iRyan 18-05-2015 05:05 AM

I'm enjoying it so far and I see a lot of potential.

But I'm bored of the sex talk though and who fancies who. It's painfully uninteresting to watch.
