Do NOT kill it. Get a big glass and a book and trap it and free it outside. I means you no harm.

my ordeal is now over, if I see another moth tonight though I am moving to West Nairobi where I assume there are less moths

Sorry sis but there has been numerous cholera outbreaks in West Nairobi so you'll be sacrificing your life in order to escape moths.
