The point is that the wrong people were up in the first place.
It's always the interesting ones who go first. Now's the opportunity to turn that crap around and get a boring or nasty one out. Preferably that poisonous snake Harriet. |
As pleased as i'd be to see the back of Harriet i would be really pissed-off if i'd spent years trying to get on BB and was evicted without having a single nomination.
Channel 5 can use the "BB can change the Rules...." line as much as they like but every time they do it just to manipulate a situation in their favour like this i think the show moves that bit closer to ultimately being axed. As long as they're making their phone vote and product placement/sponsorship cash i don't think they give the smallest of ****s about the viewers (and even less so the housemates!). |

This wouldn't be a big deal if they told us on last Friday what the twist was but the fact that it is last minute makes it seem that they are trying to save some of their faves

If Sarah, Amy&Sally stay, I will be happy with the outcome. But to look at it in a non-selfish way, to try see how it damages the show, it's extremely unfair on us, the viewers, and those housemates.
Normally BB houses evolve. The bigger characters get evicted and quieter housemate kinda become the stars of the show. Or the villain who has been evading noms, finally faces a public vote towards the end of the series, and gets their comeuppance. Sarah played a brilliant social game to avoid being up for eviction this week, the twins to a lesser extent, but nonetheless they did a good job cementing relationships and trying to turn the focus onto Jade after she tried to get Nick to nom them. And then there is Kieran, he seems like a nice guy, he's fun and puts an arm around those feeling down. These are the housemates I watch the show for and they are being punished for being good at playing this game. And it's anti-Jade, or anti-whichever-housemate being sore losers. Our gameshow of BB is being hijacked by someone who prob has never watched a full series. Or someone who hasn't a clue that BB is a marathon, not a sprint. Sure find a way to get the boring people out, but there is a simply way to do that, and it's one fans have been asking for, put the whole house up and have it a vote to save. Then getting rid of four housemates would seem fair to me. But getting rid of four of them in this twist, it's baffling to me and seems only to be done for shock value. It's like watching a game of football, only to be told that the team who scores the least amount of goals are really losing, but they don't know about it. I think the person who should be gotten rid of this week, is the person who came up with this idea and the one who okayed it. Too long; didn't read?

I just personally favour those who don't try to hide. Think it makes the show more interesting. |

Maybe it is and it has. Just wondered if 13 phone numbers was simply too much for Emma to deal with. |

I'm just glad that they're trying to get the bores out. Some of them have been coasting along, knowing that if you stay quiet you won't be nominated. :nono:

When you think about it, it's pretty piss funny. The look on their faces on Friday will be priceless.
