In a house full of models and people who live to be on TV, they're not half as bad as pretty much all of them.

Joel is definitely one of the more interesting Housemates to psychologically evaluate (which is an important part of BBUK) and his strangeness can amuse me, I didn't like what he did to Aaron though and I still stand by that. Nick is likable but a bit dull, and he doesn't even look like he wants to be there anymore, Chloe might actually overtake him as my 3rd favourite soon if he doesn't get his act into gear. |

Though, looking back at the original question, their popularity is probably more due to their lack of an argumentative streak. I can't bare the people who spend 10 weeks arguing and shouting. At least they've attempted to have a bit of fun. |
I like Joel. Nick was my fave up until he became Jade's lapdog.

Because they're being themselves,......hopefully.
Not that that is really a good thing for either of them. |

Nick and Joel were my two favourites on launch and the first few days.
Joel slipped down a bit for me because I find him a bit irritating and his attempts at humour sometimes seem too forced and a bit put on, hate to admit it, but I think Danny clocked that on like the 2nd or 3rd night and I criticised him at the time for saying it. I wouldn't say I definitely dislike him yet. Sometimes he bugs me a lot, sometimes he seem nice, most of the time I'm just a bit 'meh' about him. Nick slipped slightly in my favourites for a while, purely because I was finding other housemates more entertaining such as the Twins, Kieran and Aaron- all of them have now left in the space of 2 days so Nick is back to being one of my favourites. He seems like one of the nicest people there in the house. He's not really a very funny character and he's not dramatic either, but he seems like a genuinely kind person, easy to get along with and caring towards his friends most of the time. (the one exception to that is the time he bitched to Harriet about Jade that didn't come across well at all). I'd like to see him learn how to stand up for himself a bit more and to gain some confidence in the house. |
Cute?..... reece, these chinless wonders are not even geek chic

Nick is a fake fresh off the conveyor belt at the Dexter Koh Factory, and Joel is an awful Luke Marsden-lite. Both suck.
|
Joel reminds me of Luke actually.
I wonder if that's why I like him so much?:joker: |
Nick ain't too bad but he's annoying me now
Joel is just awful |
yeah I'm really not here for Joel's constant habit of saying nasty things about other people during tasks and then be all "that's the rules of the game so you can't be mad about it :smug:"
|
I like them.

I find them both fascinating to watch. Joel more so for his naivety, he may be educated but he comes across as someone who can struggle with communication around others and Nick for his vulnerability. He might have a rich life money wise, but he appears to lack any self confidence and so it's interesting watching him grow a little in this environment.

I like them both and I can see fully where you are coming from as to Joel struggling as to communication around others. |
Because they're not models/recruits
