Honestly one of the worst nomination reasons I've ever heard. Especially when said by someone who isn't one of the younger housemates himself.

It's ridiculous that they continue to allow such awful reasons.

...wow, awful reason to nominate her and surprising from Simon as in another vid he says that her age life experience' is a good thing for the younger ones to learn from...really, really crumby nomination..I wonder if BB would accept that reason if it was for a 'youngest housemate' of 16yrs ...oh they're not old enough to appreciate the experience...;pffffttt...

Not happy the fact BB has given the newbies power so to speak. Let them all vote/be nominated and see whos up then.

I'd respect her more if she accepted responsibility. Whatever she says, this was a "joint nomination". She either agreed with the choice, or just let Simon take control. Either way, she played her part.

Agreed. It just pisses me off that the show accepts these reasons. If you're jeopardizing someone's place in the show, you should be made to state a bloody good reason.

That reason is just a long winded way of saying she's old. Not quite sure why Big Brother accepts these pitiful reasons.

...it's just so annoying that BB will accept that as a reason..if they're going to do that then put an 'oldest' age limit on applying because it would mean the same from the youngest to the oldest housemate to win it or at least experience much longer in the house... I was just starting to like Simon as well but we'll see if he was against it/nominating her and gave his reasons with that...

This is just one of the many things BBAUS did better than BBUK. While it might have been seen as "boring" in the later years compared to BBUK because of the more family-friendly editing, the production of the show was brilliant, especially nominations. BB would challenge housemates if they copped-out with their reasons, there's no way someone would be able to nominate someone simply for being older.

With BBUK, you can nominate someone for literally anything, no matter how ridiculous.

I agree, I warmed to him since his return, but I've gone right off him again. Slymon is a more fitting name for him.
