Presumably she doesn't want her parents to know she cheated on her boyfriend with Marc. That would account for his statement that she's not polyamorous, if she considered sleeping with him cheating.

Except legal, consenting relationships in which all parties are aware of and agree to not being tied down to one person is not really the same as a 'slapper' (not that there's anything wrong with sleeping around anyway, each to their own). It's pretty much an open relationship, and while they may not be for everyone, so long as those who are in them understand the terms of them I don't see how it's anyone else's business to judge or pass comment. If it isn't affecting you and you aren't involved, what's the issue? Same applies to parents - if their child is happy living their life that way, then leave them be.

It's also disheartening to watch other people call members of their own gender a 'slapper'. I'll never understand why people do that

Firstly I don't understand how she's a 'slapper' when I've just explained how she isn't, unless you're saying that anyone who participates in open relationships is. And secondly (and more importantly) I don't really understand the problem with being a 'slapper' anyway. Like, all of these words are so pointless. Who cares what other people do in and with their own lives? There are a lot more pressing issues to deal with in the world than caring about who is sleeping with who and how often, whether it's someone on a TV show or someone down the road. And if you don't think it's wrong to demonise members of your own gender even more than they already are, and that there are more important things to care about than how other people choose to live that aspect of their lives, and that each to their own, live and let live etc etc, then I truly, truly, truly pity you.

But when those words are more often than not used to demonise and insult women (when the same doesn't apply to men nearly as often) for an issue that really is irrelevant and only furthers the notion that there's different rules for different genders, it really is something to care about.

Thankfully in 20/30 years I think we'll be a more liberal world as the generations who care about all this die off, and it won't be an issue anymore

Let me tell you something about Jade. We were best friends in middle school. I know, right? It's so embarrassing. I don't even... Whatever. And then she dropped out of school because no one would talk to her, and she came back in the fall for high school, all of her hair was cut off and she was totally weird, and now I guess she's on crack.
