Good housemate but overbearing.

jyunga 04-06-2015 12:09 AM

He makes some comments that are pretty disgusting, however, I think he's what this series needs. He's prodding the house guests that want to sit around doing nothing into action, bring out sides of them you don't get to see when everyone is lovey dovey and happy together.

I can only imagine watching BB a few seasons from now, filled with boring houseguests, and thinking to myself "damn, this house really could have used Marc". He'll be a legend for various reasons, loved and hated.

the_answers 04-06-2015 03:02 AM

I like how he doesn't take the house too seriously.
Others in there certainly do.

Macie Lightfoot 04-06-2015 03:18 AM

He's pretty boring just like his predecessor Perez was. It's just an endless loop of "antics" that are repetitive and dumb.

Ammi 04-06-2015 05:48 AM

..I think he's a great housemate...I think in 'real life' he's not someone that I would have probably got beyond the way he speaks about and to females and certain other aspects of his character so probably wouldn't have liked him but that's the great thing about BB, it's not just about the housemates being thrown together in a house and them experiencing people that they wouldn't usually get along with/not connect with and possibly completely dislike...it's the viewers/fans who experience that as well and we're allowed to see things about their character that we probably wouldn't usually... and actually I think that I finally 'get it' in that with housemates and BB, especially since it's been channel 5 BB, it's not going to be about people and housemates so much with 'finer qualities' and things we admire...maybe to an extent it is or completely is for some people and has been for me in the past, but I think also if it had been that with BB winners all through all of the series' then that would have become boring and samey as well....

..Anyway, there is so much about Marc that would make me dislike him as a person but somehow I don't and surprise myself...for me from the moment he stepped into the house, it's pretty much been Big Marc's house as he said it was....he gave Jade her moment and helped her go from zero to hero when he turned his attention on her and now she's seemed pretty quite and bland again the last few days because he seems to have lost a bit of interest for now...although in the shock/truth task...wen se said she hated him..?..she pretty much to me sounded like a little adoring girl and doesn't hate him at all but craves his attention....he's allowed Simon of the Slytherin fraternity to have his moment by sitting back and allowing Simon to take the 'hate' for Eilieen's nomination...he's brought out the 'angry Chloe' and now that (her anger) is always seeming to be bubbling at the surface..he really is bringing those housemates to his yard and his house...oh and Jack, Jack has never been so vocal as he has been since it's been Marc's house...also he played a part obviously in Jack now being vulnerable with no more immunities....and allowed Harry her nudity moments....

..so yeah, whether he stays another week or right up to the final, it doesn't really matter to me because for the time he is there, it's pretty much Marc's house ...Marc the Maleficent fraternity leaving Mr Nobizz and the other housemates in the shade...and bringing everything to the BB yard...(in housemate terms I mean..)...

He is a fantastic housemate. I would honestly put him in my top 20, possibly top 10 tbh of alltime contestants. Seemed such a bellend when he went in, and is kinda still a dick but a funny and very likeable one

ebandit 04-06-2015 08:09 AM

has the mark show?.............peaked too soon / too quickly...............

time now for something with a little more substance............

Marc hasn't stirred up the housemates, what has stirred them up is 4 evictions of Housemates who weren't nominated, and Simon telling them they came across as boring. I don't mind him as a housemate but given he has been given a brief (and possibly paid) to go in and stir things up it gets my back up :idc:

chuff me dizzy 04-06-2015 08:46 AM

Will go down in bb history as one of the best if he carries on as he is now

bots 04-06-2015 08:50 AM

After last nights show, if it wasn't obvious before, its obvious now that marc has been paid or highly primed for this show, so its not an even platform.

Not here for contrived, scripted nonsense.

waterhog 04-06-2015 09:25 AM

but he repayment may not be worth it - if that is true -

chuff me dizzy 04-06-2015 09:27 AM

Him skipping around last night throwing the paper cups about had me in stitches !! :laugh3:

kefln 04-06-2015 09:28 AM

He's a bellend, but he's very entertaining.

He knows the score with reality TV, the viewers have no interest in watching two people sitting around in slippers watching the weather and waiting for a task. We want energy and mischief. He said it at the start of the task, have fun with it. And that's what we want.

He might be insulting and a loud mouth but he has apologised every time someone has corrected him. He knows there is a line, so he pushes it and pulls back if he goes too far.

Knispel 04-06-2015 09:31 AM

One of the best housemates ever. I think id want to punch him in the mouth if i were stuck in a room with the guy for more than 2 seconds but in the house hes comedy gold! Hope he wins

Yea agree

susie q 04-06-2015 11:18 AM

I think hes a brilliant housemate. Hes stirred the house up in ways I didnt think possible, whilst having fun. Yes hes a bellend, but he makes me laugh and hes not afraid to show his
softer side, hes great with both Christian & Eileen. Hes now in my top 4 to win.
By the way Im speaking as someone who hated Helen. PLUS IM ALSO SICK OF ALL THESE CONSPIRACY THEORIES, AND WISH THEY WOULD ALL STOP.

Tom4784 04-06-2015 11:55 AM

He's grown on me actually. He pushes it a bit far at times (Sam's nickname) but I don't think he's malicious.
