Statement about merch
June 6, 2015 We found out that a couple of the sizes of sweatshirts we offer may not have been sourced in the ethical way we thought – MADLY the Daily Mail brought this to our attention (snidely) – we’ve responded to em & ironed out a few of their attempts to **** stir. We’ve got shot of the manufacturer so the DM can go back to focusing on their owners dubious tax affairs. All trews merch profit goes towards building community social enterprise projects Watch Emperor’s New Clothes to learn more about DM/Rothermere tax scandal Russell. http://www.russellbrand.com/statement-about-merch/ |

That's quite a lot of money for a sweatshirt made in Bangladesh. And only just over a quid to charity? He's all heart, isn't it. If his name is connected with this sweatshirt he cannot claim he didn't know or he's going to look like a bigger idiot that usual.
Why is this not in the Trews thread, hmmmmmm? |

Because its a Bigger story than kizzy posting video clips |
Put it in.... what's stopping you?

Well of course, but if someone thinks it should be in there I have no objections to that.
|
I was actually wondering why you didn't put it in, Kizzy. You're the custodian of the Trews thread, aren't you?

Very Valid Point |
I started it if that's what you mean, not sure why you're inferring I should be the one to post any related articles in it however :/
|
Because you bump it all the time and this story is big and it's about Trews.
|
Is it?... I hadn't noticed :idc:
|
I noticed.
|
Then you must do something about it Livia, be my guest.
Personally I didn't wish to hijack Aristas important news item. |

I won't be adding it, I don't read the Trews thread. As far as I'm concerned it should be in Chat and Games or Creative Writing... |

It deserves to be in News and serious debates due to the content inviting serious debate...but seeing as you don't read it you're not really able to comment on the topics included or debate them. |
Ahh Livia / Kizzy standoffs do please me a bit. Does anyone remember that show, "Celebrity Death Match"? Tibb needs more claymation tbh.

'According to the publication, the shirts were advertised as being 'screen printed and produced in the UK'. Russell reportedly understood his clothes were made in factories in England.
The 40-year-old comic has since taken to his website to say he has now taken steps to sort out the situation. Responding to reports, he said: "We found out that a couple of the sizes of sweatshirts we offer may not have been sourced in the ethical way that we thought. He said after this was brought to his attention, he has "ironed out a few attempts to s*** stir". He continued: "We've got shot of the manufacturer. All trews march profit goes towards building community social enterprise projects." http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...claims-5833963 |
