Been there loads of times, only a couple of hours from my house but their dogs are not a patch on the Dublin dogs (racing greyhounds I mean) my passion.

Oh I thought it was the North you're from?

Cork is grand for a visit but it's hardly a capital. Strip away the pubs and it's just 2 streets, a college and an island.

And Marc is not typical of irish or dublin people. There are people in dublin that are a watered down version of him but remember Marc is a reality tv guy. His personality is concentrated for entertainment and shock value. Irish people will entertain in the same way Marc does when he's being good without sinking into the extremes he goes to when he's crossing the line.

My mate Dr Dick Power would have to say er no

Rorkimaru 09-06-2015 02:28 PM

JoshBB 09-06-2015 02:54 PM

Are you seriously asking whether or not one nasty individual is representative of all of Ireland?

Sure amen't I only one myself and I haven't a breeze what the eventual rebellion will entail. Also I was looking for a smiley that fit and couldn't help myself #SorryNotSorry :pat:

Wow. Can't believe how narrow minded the OP is. I like Marc but of course they're not all like him! Some of my family are actually from Talla in Dublin (Where Marc comes from) and they are nothing like him. They are actually just very down to earth and normal actually sometimes a bit quiet.

It's like asking are all women from Holland Lesbians because Adjoa was.

joeysteele 09-06-2015 05:19 PM

No, not from the family and friends I have in Ireland.

Ramsay 09-06-2015 05:26 PM

Yes everyone of us looks and acts just like him. you got a problem m8?

I'd struggle to believe that someone's personality is based on where they live.

Yeah she was Dutch so she's from Holland or The Netherlands as some people call it.

I'm not asking this from thin air, I heard Jade before say something like 'oh there's that Irish banter that I love' when Marc first arrived, is why I asked

Well he's obviously a lot more Irish than the other housemates and yes a lot of what he says is typical of Irish lads but they don't go that far. Like chances are two dubs are going to have more in common.

Angelika 09-06-2015 11:54 PM

There are idiots like Marc in every country around the planet. It's not typical of any one national trait - it's unfortunately part of mankind as a species trait, that is the worst mankind has to offer kind.

billy123 10-06-2015 12:15 AM

Yes they are all like that. In ireland they dont even have money they just collect scrap metal and use it to trade withn and its compulsory to have a whippet on the end of a piece of string when out in public.

How could you find that hilarious? Marc had only just come into the house and that was the second or third sexual reference he had made to Chloe. No we irish are not like him.He is vile disgusting and horrible. Yes we have banter but he is in no way reflective of our society. I don't like him he makes me sick and I hope that other people don't this he IS REFLECTIVE of Irish people

..to be fair to the OP, Marc kind of 'promotes' this himself or did in the DR with...'I'm a typical Irish eejit' tobegorra, tobegorra...so maybe has referred to his nationality other times we haven't seen as something he thinks 'adds to his charm'..?..or excuses things or whatever because of course we know that every Irish person in the land has kissed the Blarney Stone, t'is a well known fact...anyway, he's not a 'typical' anything...BB don't do typical in characters because where would be the ratings..they do or try to do more extremes of personalities or personalities they think will conflict, regardless of nationality....

EDIT:..anyway if he was typically Irish then as Niamh said, she would have wiped out a huge part of the population of her country by now and they seem to be doing ok and not decreasing too much in number...
