He looked so confused when he came out to people booing like crazy while clapping him, smiling and waving at him. I thought it was hilarious.
And the crowd were definitely coached. They'd have been told in advance to chant the housemate going out's name when they patched into the house and Emma or someone would have announced to them it was Mark prior to connecting. |
They didn't necessarily need to give the crowd a heads-up on who was going to be evicted, it's also possible that they could have been instructed to chant and boo whoever came out regardless of the crowd knowing in advance. They booed all three housemates when Emma was talking to the house before she announced who was leaving.

Ask Jarrod when he gets back on.

What's pathetic about all of this is that if the crowd weren't so nasty and over the top and they would cheer most housemates like used to be the case, then they wouldn't have to ask them to boo everyone because booing would still be an unusual thing.
I mean just put that into context, they probably asked them to boo all three nominees. It just sounds stupid. |
Channel 5 wants us to hate the HMs. They want the public to boo and hiss and chant. We're not supposed to actually like them, they want us to hate them and then vote to evict them.
|
Oh I know that, and part of the reason why I hate vote to evict so much is because it's a negative system that festers negative feelings and puts a downer on the whole show. There's so much unnecessary and over the top hatred and bile spewed on this forum and on social media every series that's truly depressing to read and it just helps perpetuate it
People shouldn't be encouraged to hate other people, it's just a TV show and it's ridiculous |
