I'm not even a fan of Jack, but Helen's just a horrid, toxic piece of work.

That is honestly suck a weak and tired defence. I'd have a lot more respect (though admittedly not much) for people if they admitted they were being horrible, rather than hiding behind the "it's just honest" excuse.

A true mark of a weak argument is "Um ... well ... people agree with me look!!!", your point just became less about defending your own argument about Helen and falling back on the fact that she won, a fact that is an utter irrelevance to my post you're responding to. :)

But if you want to discuss audience opinion: sure, enough people clearly supported her to make her win, but even more dislike her (which was evident by the reaction to her win, and I don't just mean in the crowd). She's loved by some and hated by some, let's not pretend she's adored because she never was. :laugh:

I wanted Helen to win last year, but I am afraid I found her far too obnoxious and up her own backside last night.
I would like to see Jack up and out, but absolutely no need for the way she went on last night.

I agree with you, just as I hated the fact people got at Eileen for her age,I also hate equally negative references to Jack only because of his weight.

He doesn't look 'fat' to me anyway, he moans a lot as have others in there,I see no reason at all to bring his weight up at all.

I also agree with you above as to Helen and the support she got to win BB,I was one of those who did help her win with my votes for her and it would have been nice to see some humility from her while she was commenting on these housemates,(knowing the difficulties she had in the house when she was in),housemates too whereby none of them have done a thing to her or even said anything to her yet.

We have just had that horrible individual in the CBB series,namely Katie Hopkins, we certainly don't need another like her that judges people on appearance again and who will work against someone for their appearance too.

There's admiring truth and honest, and than there's admiring Helen. Two different things.

...indeed, she realises that 'honesty' pays and of course knowing who the public 'most liked' and 'disliked' are helps 'honesty' as well..



...a 'special' person who is very intolerant to other's 'truths' of her if it's something that she doesn't want to hear/something negative...

..there are many 'truths', Helen's truth is just her own opinion of people..no more/no less not the 'truth' at all and her arrogance at feeling that she can project her 'truth' in any way that she feels she wants to no matter how that offends...

Really now,lol, we ALL have that Helen side to us,Can any of us honestly say that we have gone through life never being nasty or offending anyone? If that is so,kudos to you although I don't believe it,Helen is loud and brash and lets be honest here,Jack is overweight,anyone can see that,some people will say that about him,others will just 'think' it,so those thoughts are there,I have seen loads of comments on here about the housemates looks etc,I've even said Harry is grubby etc myself,we say it on a forum,they say it on TV,what Helen said about Jack,is exactly what some have been saying on here.

..not purposefully no Kaz and I think that many people haven't...whatever their opinions on someone, they realise that's only their perspective and don't feel the need to project their negativity on that person because they could be wrong in their views anyway and that's quite often the case as well...but others will always disagree with their negative opinion anyway because that's their different perspective of that person...also the reason that Helen is one of the people who was chosen to go back is because she's not representative of 'every day people' but is quite extreme in a negative way in that she does project her own her opinions/which is all they are and not 'truth' at all onto others with glee and without thought...and yes Jack is overweight I agree but insulting him/being derogatory about him will only ever lower his self esteem even further and increase any health issues it may cause him....the 'Helens' will only ever make others feel worse about themselves so is never a good thing....

It's nastiness 24/7, disgraceful personality, self-righteousness all over the place. Doing it on TV with the excuse of "it's good for tv" sometimes is not enough. Not all sort of nastiness should be praised and encouraged in the name of good tv.
