Well, In this instance when 6 young people have died i think it's pretty insensitive and cruel to start making s**t up

arista 18-06-2015 11:45 AM

This is Not made up:

[Balcony In Collapse Tragedy Was 'Decorative'

The structure was not designed for practical use it emerges, as investigators examine rotten beams as a cause for the collapse.]

Arista, you said there was a sign up telling people not to go out there. Does it say that in this link you posted?

No I said "I Bet"
there was a sign

My link leads to what I am saying

Crimson Dynamo 18-06-2015 11:48 AM

There were 13 people on it at time of collapse

It was around 8x5 feet

It was old and poorly constructed it has been established

You bet means you're guessing which is making stuff up. That article doesn't mention anything about a sign

The lazy stereotyping is sickening.A bunch of college students aged 20-22 celebrating a 21st birthday....shocking stuff

He does that when you prove him wrong. Also he won't admit he's wrong.

Anyone can clearly see this was a tragic accident, don't see why people are trying to blame people.

I agree... what is to be gained by blaming the victims... they are already reaping the consequences of their actions... The only thing to be gained now is an inspection of the other balconies on the building to ensure to other tragedies don't happen. It's not like this type of thing happens everyday.

...I can't imagine how their families are feeling going over there to bring their bodies back home..just unbelievably sad...

Its on USA Live News,
those students would have known
they must not Jump and Dance on that structure.

Yes its Tragic
but it appears their own fault
The Police were on the way to that building
due to so many complaining
about the Noise
but they then got a Urgent Gun Fire call (had to divert)
so they were not able to get there
before the Tragic Events.

smudgie 18-06-2015 02:43 PM

Truly tragic.
Those poor young people just starting out in life really, their families and friends must be bereft.
As to the strength of the balcony, it should be of safe construction and hopefully the rest will be tested to see if they pass muster, if not then heads should roll.

You're deluded. It's in no way their fault. You disgust me that you'd even say that.

Yes it was death by misadventure probably

as I said a combination of too many people jumping on a balcony that was, it seems, poorly constructed.

There must have been a sign up inside that said "no more than 5 people on the balcony please" or some such thing?

---------------------------------------------

Adult Balcony Safety Adults will (hopefully) not try to stick their heads through balusters or try to climb over balcony barriers, however, balconies can still pose problems to adults. Weight limits, structural issues, and steps should all be considered in keeping adult guests safe. The following tips can help ensure guest safety:

Inspect your balcony every year for structural problems, including but not limited to termites, corroded metals, and wet rot
Post any weight limits and watch that your guests comply
If there is a step down or narrow stairs leading from the balcony, post signs of any dangers and warn your guests

Balconies can be very pleasant parts of your home or business. Ensuring the safety of children and adults can help you keep your guests safe and happy on your extended outdoor living space.

Not again with the fictional sign... show the proof or reference to it or stop mentioning it already
