Anyone can clearly see this was a tragic accident, don't see why people are trying to blame people. |

Its on USA Live News, those students would have known they must not Jump and Dance on that structure. Yes its Tragic but it appears their own fault The Police were on the way to that building due to so many complaining about the Noise but they then got a Urgent Gun Fire call (had to divert) so they were not able to get there before the Tragic Events. |
Truly tragic.
Those poor young people just starting out in life really, their families and friends must be bereft. As to the strength of the balcony, it should be of safe construction and hopefully the rest will be tested to see if they pass muster, if not then heads should roll. |

as I said a combination of too many people jumping on a balcony that was, it seems, poorly constructed. There must have been a sign up inside that said "no more than 5 people on the balcony please" or some such thing? --------------------------------------------- Adult Balcony Safety Adults will (hopefully) not try to stick their heads through balusters or try to climb over balcony barriers, however, balconies can still pose problems to adults. Weight limits, structural issues, and steps should all be considered in keeping adult guests safe. The following tips can help ensure guest safety: Inspect your balcony every year for structural problems, including but not limited to termites, corroded metals, and wet rot Post any weight limits and watch that your guests comply If there is a step down or narrow stairs leading from the balcony, post signs of any dangers and warn your guests Balconies can be very pleasant parts of your home or business. Ensuring the safety of children and adults can help you keep your guests safe and happy on your extended outdoor living space. http://www.safetyrisk.net/balcony-safety-3/ |
