I have never seen a romance in the house take away from tasks or arguments. Sometimes they lead to arguments. And whilst we may lose one or two interesting conversations, its doubtful. And I'm trying to think of how many of these romances have involved us watching people talk under a duvet. The only one I can think of is John James and Josie.

What does that even mean? They're not attracted to each other? They don't get on? They're just forcing themselves?

Josie and John James 90% of the highlights focused on a talking duvet.

Umm Harry and nicks best bits will be a duvet

You'll have to explain what's troubling you with that idea.

The Highlight shows? Nah. Not even 2%

Okay, that's probably fair. But they've barely been featured this year. So they've taken away from nothing. And actually some conflict has arisen from those 2 being together

You can go back and watch the whole series and calculate it for us.

You're gonna pretend that Hazel & Daleys relationship is normal? and something that the fans shouldn't have disliked because it ended the way it did because of sexual tension? lol wut.

I haven't said anything about whether or not fans should have liked it. But that those two clearly fancied each other is indisputable (so there was nothing "fake" about it) and the tension between those two undoubtably did make for intriguing viewing.

Some showmances can be gr8, such as Stuart/Michelle and Luke S/Ashleigh. Unfortunately, most showmances have no substance to them (Sarah/Danny) or involve emotionally abusive men (Aaron/Faye, Steven/Kimberly, Ziggy/Chanelle, etc.)

You give Luke S and Ashleigh as an example of having substance to them?

Emotionally abusive men is a bit much...

If by intriguing you mean uncomfortable, then sure.

Most of them are genuine to varying degrees. Sometimes it is just a product of the situation. I don't think many of them are out-and-out fake.

It got uncomfortable when the idiot producers made sure they were in a room together and full of alcohol. Another example of them getting involved and damaging the show.

Ashleigh and Luke S were great bc they were such an obvious mismatch after the flirting at the beginning between Lauren/Luke S and Ashleigh/Conor. Like, they clearly didn't fancy each other at all and weren't a good couple at all and it was just all so hilariously fake and contrived <3 it also adds to Luke's humiliation arc which is one of the best storylines since the move to C5.

It's not really that much of an exaggeration. Steven literally forbade Kimberly from keeping contact with her ex and scolded her for wanting to go back to her apartment and move her things out by herself, Ziggy had no clue what he was getting into with Chanelle's insanity so he opted to say "it's not you its me" and call her by the wrong name "accidentally" and pretty much lead her to walk, and Aaron was an emotional terrorist to everyone in that house, but especially Faye who was not allowed to burp near him but how dare she be upset that he snogged Maisy bc "it was supposed to be her"
