Did your opinions on both Marc and Danny go down today? Or just Danny?

I'm not even that much of a fan of Danny's but the whole thing is pathetic. Who cares what he tweeted a few months ago, or in the case of Marc, two years ago? It is totally and utterly irrelevant to what he is doing in the house.

The same goes for people who like to dig for dirt on other housemates, criticising them for being prostitutes, or not having a job, the list goes on. The point of this show is to judge the people that partake on a blank slate based upon what they do inside the house, not out of it. Their jobs and personal lives are totally irrelevant and quite frankly I think it's pretty disgusting that year on year all of their lives are uncovered either by forumers and/or the press.

The housemates are just people taking part in a reality show that we watch for 48 minutes a night, it's not akin to a gunman shooting down a school and then people wanting to monitor their old social media activity. It just goes to show that if you're going to appear on a show like this then you really need to be careful about what you've posted on the internet before, but as far as I'm concerned they shouldn't have to be.

I have to say, very well said. I think I'll back off of the talk regarding social media then.

Yes we judge people on everything we know about them. You can't really help it. And as BB fans, we're probably the most judgemental of all

jennyjuniper 01-07-2015 07:22 PM

I think so. Especially if, like the Weazel he is trying to promote the image of a caring, humble ordinary guy who looks down his nose at fame wannabees, when in reality he is a nasty, self serving fame *****. Then it's right to expose what that person is like.

With the threads on both of Danny and Marcs disgusting tweets from a few years back, do you judge them both or neither of them?

I've also seen some people judge Chloe for her past of ****ting in somebodys shoes?

Since when is January a few years back?

Just 6 short months ago, Danny said he hoped a sexual assault victim was bullied in the street.

But that isn't even the main thing I am judging him on. His violent outburst in the house (at least 4 now) are what he should be judged on and he isn't being because he has the same agent as Emma and Rylan.

I think the cases and the judgements are real, I mean, she can arrange for a copper to accompany someone to pick up their gear, she gives stuff back to the rightful owner etc... but as far as I know any cash award is paid by the show. And at least she's a real judge, not like Rinder who's a barrister. He has showbiz connections though, he was best man at Benedict Cumberbatch's wedding.

Ammi 01-07-2015 07:33 PM

..this is what I used to like most about the civilian BB because we didn't know anything about the housemates before they went into the show but I think that's not always the case now, so people are judged or pre judged on their lives/their pasts and many things, even their familes/friends are judged sometimes..how is that a 'social experiment' in any way or in the context of an entertainment TV show...

..Jack's post.....

How are their personal lives irrelevant if they contradict how they are behaving on the show?

Suppose, for example, a woman goes on the show and claims to be devoutly religious and a virgin, but we find out that actually she was a stripper/hooker in the past. How can that not be relevant?

Similarly with Danny, he is building his whole persona in the house around being a gentleman and protecting women and standing up to bullies.......but we now find out that he wished chloe goodman to get bullied in the street.

It is absolutely relevant.

Who would you personally prefer to win?

Now THERE'S a show I'd watch :joker:

I wasn't aware of this tweet, it wasn't the one i had in mind when I made the thread. It's good to know that you enjoy nitpicking even when we share an opinion, at least you're consistent.

Has your opinion on both Danny and Marc gone down today because of their public tweets making their way to the tibb forum? or only Danny?

Same! I really do feel like people could defend hitler though if he was up for a laugh and didn't do anything bad inside the house!

Haha. Every time I searched to see who quoted me, I could see all of your posts anyway so it was pointless. Would you like to answer the question, I'm genuinely intrigued about how these tweets have affected people's views on both Marc and Danny but you only mentioned Danny in your first post.

I only mentioned Danny because I knew his tweet wasn't "a few years ago" as you stated.

I haven't really seen Marc's tweets. I saw one posted in another thread but I don't know the context of it.

Marc may well go down in my estimation but he was never really that high. But Danny will always be lower due to the 4 incidents of violence in the house.

ThriceShy 01-07-2015 07:48 PM

So what do marc's tweets reveal? Are they anywhere near as bad as danny's?

Yeah, they're both terrible. I'm kind of struggling to see how either of them can be supported, hence the poll. Needed to see how many people take housemates pasts into consideration.
