While the rest of them consider getting fingered by a footballer in a nightclub as an achievment!
Chloe has her head screwed on getting a foot on the housing ladder is a good thing to aim for.

But she said it in comparison to Marc. A man who has a degree education and a job as a scientist.

She wasn't comparing herself to WAGs getting fingered.

Old lispy is just a dull waste of space... for someone who wasnt bothered about his education and thought her mortgage was great she did not half go on about it A LOT...

Anyone with a half decent job can get a mortgage tbh, not everyone can pass a science degree. I couldn't and im not ashamed to admit it

Books are only other peoples thoeries....life lessons are your own.

I like that. Very true.

Of course it's an achievement. At 24 to have a mortgage and be settled into a home which you own is impressive, especially given the economy that surrounded her taking out the loan. It's a very impressive achievement. Most of her generation is expected to languish in tenancy hell. They can't save for a mortgage because they're paying rent.

Pssst.....if you have just started paying a mortgage, you don't own the home.

Chances are that her dad stumped up the deposit too.

I know 24 year olds who own a business. I know people that age who own their home outright and rent other houses out. And there are plenty of 24 year olds with first class degrees, working towards PhDs.

Paying off a huge loan to own a little house in doncaster is not an achievement.

She has every right to be proud of what she sees as her achievements.
I applaud her for her determination to better herself if she can.

However, I think she also came across rather badly in the highlights tonight.

Yet she won't let Marc be proud of his education achievments.

And I know plenty of 24 year olds who are on welfare. Plenty who did a degree and stopped right there. I don't get your point. Anecdotal evidence will for ever be gloriously anecdotal.

And if you really want to get pedantic when you get a mortgage you do own your house and have put it up as collateral on a loan while you're paying it back.

There is no need for anecdotes.

Chloe was comparing herself to marc. She seemed to think her "achievement" of getting a mortgage was better than him getting an education and becoming a scientist.

Well it was more like not having an education didn't hold her back. It was a comparison to how they provide for themselves. Chloe owns a home, Marc doesn't.

But its a moot point Marc never said it to Chloe he said it to Danny cause he was being thuggish and unpleasant as usual.

Well no, the topic at hand is "Is a 24 year old having a mortgage an achievement?" and I'm saying yes it is. The little argument between Chloe and Marc is on her and her brandishing her achievements is no better than him brandishing his. I think she was being tetchy but I still think it's an achievement for a 24 year old to have a mortgage. I'm almost 27 and I don't have one. I'm pretty sure a bank wouldn't give me one either.

Forgive me but if thats the basis of this thread then yeah anything can be an achievement. The guy working the trollies down at asda who has no qualifications is an achievement, anything is an achievement if you base it on the individual. And as its all relative then you cant play one against the other.

So yeah it is an achievement, I took a big dump earlier that was an achievement... of sorts

Anyone with a stable job and a deposit can get a mortgage and I doubt she got the deposit herself. I reckon daddy paid for it.

A real achievement is going to college for years and becoming a scientist.

Her dads in prison isn't he,isn't he a gangster?
Her father Edwin Wilburn, 46, below, was jailed for masterminding a £300k plot to flood South Yorkshire with deadly amphetamines.

An insider revealed Chloe, from Doncaster, opened up about the gangster at her final audition for the Channel 5 show.

I think it is a great achievement being able to secure a mortgage at her age. Well done Chloe. So many people her age are in cheap rental flats or still living with their folks

Shaun 01-07-2015 11:57 PM

It is one in this economy tbh. Curious thing to hate on her for but...well this is TiBB I suppose.

I don't hate her for it. I disliked her way before she said that for other reasons. But it just struck me as an incredibly small time thing to have as her ambition in life.

It reminded me of an argument that i had many years ago with a troll on the internet. This troll was boasting that she was a nurse and had a "new car every 3 years" and I responded with "enjoy your lease car that you never actually own while I buy mine"

I don't think chloe realises that, outside doncaster, getting a huge loan with awful interest rates to buy an estate ****hole isn't the ambition most people have.

She's a young girl, getting on in life and has taken on the responsbility of having a mortgage. Good for her. This thread seems to me to be rather mean spirited.

It isn't.

Chloe said this while having a pop at marc for something he said in an argument that had nothing to do with her.

It was all designed to upstage marc and his education. But it looked a bit pitiful really.

Marc never even mentioned her. Yet she has to start bragging about something that most people take for granted.

And I don't believe for a second that she paid for the deposit herself. Where would she obtain circa 20 grand at that age?

Either her drug dealer dad paid for it or she is on one of these government schemes where the deposit is paid for you.

billy123 02-07-2015 12:19 AM

I Just dont get the need for people to be so nasty about her getting on in life are people Jealous of her it would explain a lot and its interesting to see the quarters that a lot of the nasty posts stem from as well.
