I was gobsmacked. Nick has gone way down in my estimation. I don't think Chloe deserves to win but loyalty is a good thing. I cant stand Jack but at least he did what the girls did and bid zero. Nick was SUPPOSED to be friends with Chloe. I hope Harry does what she says now and DROPS HIM

Jamesy 06-07-2015 09:36 PM

Who cares about friends. It's about getting to the end and as a BB fan Nick took the opportunity to see his journey to the end.

It hinders his chances of winning now but given he's a posh boy with a privileged lifestyle that ain't going to matter.

this thread is fkin useless, nick did what anyone with a right mind will do and that is get to the final of a reality tv show at all cost it is damn fkin game show,

What's the point of getting to the final of a show if you destroy any (small) chance you had of winning in the process ?

Yep.......genius move for sure!!!

Depends whether winning is his motive or not. Since he's s rich boy with a fancy lifestyle I have a feeling getting to the final is his aim, and winning would be a bonus.

Given Nick's a fan of Big Brother I'd guess he wants to see his time there to the end.

REDCROP 06-07-2015 09:56 PM

I bet now she wished she was dealing with Marc who said f-ck your Fridays to their faces....silly girl....did she really think they were all bessie mates ?..Of course not...thats why she talked in the task and stole some of the prize money from the winner...she couldn't hide her frustration at not reaching the cash button fast enough....there it was..right there...the real Chloe
As for Nick he would have sailed thru anyway and possibly won...his decision tonight prob means that won't now happen but like he said..''its not about the money its about the final '' he was born with a silver spoon in his dressing gown, he don't need the money...LOL
I personally back Harry and would think the same way, if i couldn't get there with my own integrity then i'd rather not be there at all....

Vicky. 06-07-2015 10:18 PM

Nick did the correct thing tbh

WTF is with the others treating Chloe like some precious diamond.

She would have done the same too

I would have (if my goal was reaching the final) bet the WHOLE remaining prize fund to make sure noone else bid higher than me :joker:

Moosething 06-07-2015 10:24 PM

Its a game

Vicky. 06-07-2015 10:25 PM

Was so funny how the others were all waffling on about friendship and bidding nothing. Then its Nicks turn and he just says '5 grand' :D

JamesBond 06-07-2015 10:30 PM

He should have made it the whole lot, as Marc would say **** Danny's Friday!

He'd have to pretend it's tears of joy when he wins.

Rorkimaru 06-07-2015 11:14 PM

It's a game, it was a new dynamic and he played to win. He wanted to stay until the final and now he will. He stood up for himself. After this the housemates will probably barely see each other. Don't give up your dream for someone else.

Unfortunately the way british BB works it will kill his chances because people love to pretend it isn't a game.

I don't think they know that the series has been put forward a week. They still think they've got two weeks left.

I'm sure I remember Chloe saying 'we only have 16 days left' or something last week, I think they do? If not then springing a surprise finale on them next Thursday will be one hell of a twist.

I'm pretty sure she said 8 days left in tonight's episode.

Jose Mourinho 07-07-2015 12:06 AM

Seen thru Nick the whole series, hes worst than Harry. Seems ice cold like a serial killer, methodical, calculated but not that clever. No REAL emotion seems to robotice for me spends much time on his computer I would say.

Chip on shoulder?

abhorson 07-07-2015 12:16 AM

Marc would have loved Nick doing that!!

Tom4784 07-07-2015 12:21 AM

I'd have wasted all the money. Most of them are so desperate and convinced of their own victory that it would be immensely satisfying to ensure that they win nothing.

Jack_ 07-07-2015 12:39 AM

I would have done the same thing, if I went in I'd want to be there from day one till the final day (I'd even be annoyed to be a latecomer) to get the full experience. Winning would be a bonus and the money would just be an extra as far as I'm concerned, and I think that's how he feels.

What annoyed me the most was Harry's reaction about ~cheating~ your way to the final. I mean yeah, I guess it kind of is - but if Big Brother has provided you with the opportunity it's not really cheating per se. And her analogy about how people should have to 'earn' things and not buy their way into it was stupid. In the real world, yes, people who can buy their way into privileged jobs, education and opportunities - awful. But in a reality TV gameshow? Seriously? It's a totally different entity, it isn't real life and I don't see what the problem is.

It is a shame it was Nick and not Jack that got it though cause he's a borderline bore to be quite honest.

I'll be completely honest and admit that until Harry said "0" I thought they had to offer actual amount of money. But then both Sam and Jack said "0" too, so I felt rather dumb for not figuring out it could have been 0

That said, I was thinking biding 1£ would be fair to Chloe and minimum amount.

So he pretty much threw away 4999£ due to being selfish.

BB4fan 07-07-2015 12:44 AM

It's part of the game so hopefully the spoiled little Chloe will have a good chance of going.

the truth 07-07-2015 12:45 AM

if nothing else, it would have put an end to all this bickering about money, and would end the stupid cash bomb thing, producers would have to come up with new monstrosity for housemates tos how their true colors

you're right he should've went all Kamikaze with prize fund.

Tregard 07-07-2015 03:12 AM

From the sounds of it, 5k was the maximum he could bid, I bet he would've bid more if he could.

This will, if anything, just do better for him. Nobody who liked Nick for what he was will dislike him after this move, and those who do like him for his self-admitted coldness will see this as the sort of thing Nick would do.
