You can write me as long a list of names of people who have at first been scared to come out and then done so as you want, it doesn't change the fact that it is none of yours or anyone else's business other than that persons what their sexuality is, and it is even ruder to speculate based upon what is largely an extension of this age old belief that being camp or acting effeminately is rooted in sexuality, when it isn't. Michael McIntyre is camp and he's married with children, and I don't see anyone speculating he might be in the closet.

Because it's human nature to be curious about people's sexuality!!!
Should we just skirt around the issue if it's brought up and just refer to someone as camp ? I think that's far more offensive than just openly talking about it. like grown-ups in the 2010's.

(to be fair, it's pointless debating whether Joel's straight or gay when he seems the most asexual housemate in there. He likened Harry wearing skimpy underwear to pornography, let the boy develop a bit)

No it's not? Maybe if you're attracted to them but that's as far as it goes. I don't look at people on the bus and think 'ooh I wonder if she loves the d', 'I bet she's a rug muncher', 'he definitely likes a bit of both', because firstly it's largely irrelevant unless I'm attracted to them and want to get to know them, and secondly it's also none of my business unless, again, I want to get to know them

Yes we should, being called camp isn't offensive, it's an objective fact. Being camp is a set of behavioural characteristics, but they don't have any impact on determining someone's sexuality.

My gaydar says he is and my gaydar is usually correct so i dont think i am wrong ^.^

P.S: Everyone was like GLYN IS STRAIGHT OMFG but i always knew he had some love for boys ;)

Withano 12-07-2015 06:12 PM

Is personality enough to determine sexuality? No. So there is zero point in trying to guess. If the guy wants to identify himself as heterosexual, let him.
