!Producers take note! |
I think over the past year or so, my projects have given so many different ideas that I think could be effective. They're over in the fan made section if anyone is interested.

I would scrap the public having direct control over who is evicted first and foremost, they know nothing and nearly always ruin series after series.
Then I would incorporate the US/Canada formats but with slight tweaks to allow the public to have some influence on the game. It would play out as follows: Head of Household: Each week all housemates would take part in an endurance/physical/mental (alternating every time) competition to crown an HoH. This person would nominate three other housemates for eviction. Power of Veto/Save & Replace: All housemates (different to the US/Canadian versions) would then compete for the Power of Veto (or S&R if they wanted to keep a UK name). The person who wins this competition has the power to save one of the nominees, or keep the nominations the same. If they choose to save a nominee, they name the replacement (again, different from the standard US format). Vote to Save: The public then votes to save one of the three nominees. Emma announces who has the most votes on eviction night, and they are removed from the block. House Vote: The remaining housemates, excluding the two nominees and the HoH then vote to evict one of the two nominees. In the event of a tie, the HoH breaks it. Jury Vote: When ten people remain, every housemate evicted moves into the jury house which is located somewhere within the UK free from outside contact. On finale night, the final two are questioned by the eight jurors before each of them votes for a winner. The UK public are the ninth juror. ------------------------------------ The prize fund would be increased to £250k (ideally it'd be £1m but lol at BBUK ever affording that), and all of this would make the show more interesting, more fair and more ~pure~ and offers a different spin on the standard US/Canada game by adding the different elements I named above, most notably the public vote which would mean the HoH would run the risk of nominating a big threat only to have them saved by the public. 24/7 live feed would also return online with different camera options at a reasonable price. That's about it! |

'A different way of doing things' has the same meaning and doesn't mean it shouldn't be implemented. Just because something has been one way for a long time, doesn't mean it's the right way. Also you obviously didn't read my post or else you'd have realised what I just described is in fact not the 'US format' but is instead a new format that takes inspiration from it. |
My first and most important change would be not to evict anyone for the first two weeks. 7 days before first eviction is to short for both housemates and most importantly the viewers do not have long enough to judge the housemates.
I would get rid of those immature stupid ridiculous warnings about intense arguments adult themes etc etc etc. If viewers don't know by now that BB is adult viewing they never will. Just give it an X certificate rating and that's enough warning for anyone. I would get rid of the beginning part of the highlight show repeating what happened previously and what is about to come trailer. Waste of viewing time and only needed for those with a memory of a goldfish. I would stop public votes that only those with gadgets can take part in (android devices) Smart phones etc. If a vote is needed then all viewers should be able to take part. Live channel streaming is a must to return. Relying on CH5 editing to judge housemates is just not on. I would return to the practice of no contact with the outside world The shopping list to be once again be done on a blackboard Remove all clocks from the house. Letters from home all housemates would receive them when appropriate The prize fund I would divide into 1st 2nd and 3rd with no other interference allowing unworthy housemates to grab cash. I would stop two people being interviewed at the same time. Housemates deserve there own individual interviews from Emma. I would evict rowdy members of the public chanting during Emmas interview with a life ban from attending an eviction show again. I would select more housemates like "Harry" who are not afraid of being natural in front of viewers. If only to upset as many prudish nuts amongst the public as possible. I would always ensure gender balance. If females keep getting evicted I would make sure all new housemates added were female What ever housemates say in the diary room in private should stay private and not be used by BB to deliberately cause arguments No more than two people evicted at any one time. Any twins selected to go in should always be treated as separate housemates |

I would like to see them bring back the panel to interview the evictee. I thought it was really good during the series they did that. Housemates would come out and get some hard questions from a proper panel including psychologists.

But I'd get rid of letters from home for the entire duration of the series. They sign up for ten weeks of no contact with the outside world, and that's what they shall get. :hmph: |

However I understand the point of no outside contact in the sense of not giving the housemates any clues as to how they are perceived on the outside. The letters should not be allowed to do that. |

Don't mind a panel as long as there are no psychologists on the panel. I just cannot stand those jerks. A squashed insect in a vat of cider would show more intelligence than a psycho babble merchant. |
