I hate the website. It's so dark and depressing. And they don't even put much videos on there anymore. BB16 hardly had anything.

Will. 07-08-2015 09:32 PM

The website needs a huge overhaul, it could be really good.

Jason. 07-08-2015 09:34 PM

Ikr, the C4 ones were much better

But none of those claim to put such big importance on social media/general internet stuff :fist:

They were never going to bring back live feed/this isn't really a surprise and frankly idc anymore. Big Brother isn't what it used to be to me, it's pretty much just 'any other TV show' now and if the guys behind the scenes want to continue purposely insulting their fans and ruining what could easily be the network's biggest show if they just hired someone half adequate at the job then I say go ahead. I don't think I'll ever understand how one group of people can make such a mess of a TV programme.

Maxxie. 07-08-2015 09:58 PM

Why can't they just modernise it then and have a live stream on the app?

drantb 07-08-2015 11:05 PM

"the world has moved on"

Well it's also gone backwards. Seriously, in the year 2000 we were able to see everything. Now, whatever they can chop together and shove on twitter.

Will. 07-08-2015 11:07 PM

I would willingly pay for it tbh, £15 for a season pass

If we see everything, then they can't manipulate and edit it into the way they want

daniel-lewis-1985 08-08-2015 11:18 PM

Erm whats the problem with having live feed AND social media interaction?.....Actually the websites on Channel 4 used to have more viewer interaction and updates whilst still providing a feed so hes talking out of his gash.

Its really insulting when the people in charge of a show you love openly LIE to your face because we aall know the real reason is so they can control content and manipulate the show more if they don't have live feed. Now if he had said the latter I would have atleast respected an honest response lol.

What a ****

Spot on.

Jason. 08-08-2015 11:51 PM

Everything in this thread is spot on, TBH. Apart from that letter, ofc.

David Lynn runs a lot of territories doesn't he?

Seriously though when will these people learn that the ratings will go up if Live Feed is reinstated? And give out rules that every Housemate has to follow instead of giving some Housemates immunity (Danny I'm looking at you) and giving other people warnings and ejections for a lot less in the same series.

I certainly don't. I find the website hard to navigate, and old videos disappear when new videos are uploaded.

little.lilly 09-08-2015 01:25 PM

If there was live feed, they wouldn't be able to manipulate the show as much as they do. And there would be no time for producers to enter the house to brief the HM's.

I do, I hate the video player and website as a whole but it's the only way to watch a lot of the videos (which is pretty much 3/4 a day as opposed to the amount we got last series)

The video thing annoys me, especially as they wouldn't disappear on YouTube. They're only going backwards

y.winter 09-08-2015 04:53 PM

"today's audience"

Oh, you're so cool and trendy, let's call it #bigbrother so today's generation could relate to it.

weirdo man.

He's true though. Social media these days is a preferred way to deliver such live feed ideals but I think for this to be anywhere near successful we'd need more posts on live feed and perhaps more videos/photos. Perhaps the fact the most Youtube videos were averaging less than a thousand views is suggestive that they don't try as hard because they think we don't want it. IMO an hours live feed late at night would serve as justice enough, just as a small fix, remember the celebrity series where Charlotte won? That had an hours live feed on the app and I tuned in each time it played!

Also remember that we did have live feed from 7-9PM with Secrets on Lies on 5* and the reason that was cancelled after a few weeks because viewing figures were at 70,000. Compared to the slot average of 300,000! IMO live feed on one of Channel 5's sister channels would be good, however with viewing figures being ever lower for the civilian series it's highly unlikely will see it. And as for CBB, I don't think live feed would be considered 'acceptable' for those willing to sign up as much as we'd want it!

michael21 11-08-2015 01:50 PM

i want live feed as it what made big bro

Josy 12-08-2015 08:01 AM

It just shows how much they actually know about the show they are airing then, Live Feed is the most important part of BB and a lot of those fans he mentions completely disagree with him about the social media updates, that doesn't replace Live Feed, it doesn't even come close IMO, especially when they add about 2 updates a day and maybe a 3 second video clip if we are lucky, I really hope the person that standard reply was sent to got back in contact and told them that was bull****!

Ashley. 12-08-2015 08:44 AM

They haven't even tested it though tbh. If they put the live feed on the website I'm sure a lot of fans would pay to access it. Maybe if they started producing good seasons, people would be even more inclined to check up on the housemates and their daily routines.

It just shows how evolved the show has become. When it first came out, the show depended on live feed. More people were watching the feeds than the actual highlights show; the 25-minute highlight shows were almost like news bulletins just for people to see how the housemates are getting on. Nowadays, highlight shows are like actual episodes and the show depends on them.

Surely it doesn't cost them much to put in a live feed?
