It reminds me of Lori's death in Final Destination :(

Yep, imagine a kind of meat grinder effect.

-shudders-

Imagine just going to a mall with your mum, her arm around you and then in a matter of seconds, she's gone forever

If I was one of those women that would honestly scar me for life. :worry:

Jake. 16-08-2015 05:43 PM

Horrid thought as well, but what kind of body would they even be able to drag up? And her poor kid..

T* 16-08-2015 05:44 PM

Why didn't one of the workers press emergency stop?!!!

Lostie! 16-08-2015 05:45 PM

Why the hell wasn't it closed off when the loose panel was noticed, though? It's even worse because it could have been prevented.

Beyond recognition for sure it's like a meat grinder under there.

Marsh. 16-08-2015 05:46 PM

You know, I always get a little nervous too when I step off one at the top and the metal always clangs really loudly and shakes.

Now I've seen this. :worry:

It says in the comment section the emergency stop is on the celling above the escelator, idk how true that is but health and safety is very relaxed over there.

I hope that was just a joke or something, it's ridiculous how something like this happened.

Marsh. 16-08-2015 05:54 PM

I'm sorry in advance.

Haven't seen the video, but I don't use them or lifts because I hate them

Oh I have seen that before. That story always creeps me out and I still firmly believe she didn't kill herself.

Suze 16-08-2015 09:42 PM

I rarely use escalators or lifts, much prefer the stairs. There again accidents can happen anywhere, even on stairs, but would still rather take my chances with the stairs. That poor woman though, what an awful way to go :(

Amy Jade 16-08-2015 09:45 PM

How do you guys travel around London? escelators are unavoidable on the underground?
