i never notice my accent but when i've spoken to people on the phone for the first time or whatever they always say "omg you sound so essex-y!!!!"

I think the generic american accent is what i have, so i really don't have an accent, i just say words the way they are usually said... so no/ i don't have an accent.

Absolutely, especially since I've been in uni with people from away. The way I say "door", "floor", "four" etc is funny to them and that I say "Maaam" not Mum ha (very Welshy-ish accent).
