PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE
The presumption of innocence is not explicitly stated in the Constitution but it is
implicit in the requirement of Article 31.1 that “no person shall be tried on any criminal
charge save in due course of law”. The concept of
presumption of innocence is
fundamental to the Irish legal system and is intern
ationally recognised as an essential
safeguard. It is the cornerstone of the criminal justice system. An accused person is
presumed innocent until proved guilty. The burden of proving this guilt is on the
prosecution and it must be proved beyond a reasonable doubt

britain's court system is nothing but a PR soviet style kangaroo system, that looks for scapegoat's to blame, one ex judge has said that in the last number of years, their where cases that should not of been taken to court because of the lack of evidence, in turn the trial would collapse before five minutes, the cps seem more like a PR newspaper force, than a police force, their are far too many laws in which something is said to offend, with john terry, in which he was brought to a mock trial, to be found guilty or not guilty, it was a joke, judges are paid far too much, like lawyers, I don't trust are court system.

I'm putting you down as 'undecided'.

And lawyers aren't paid too much! That's a filthy slur....

What? ****. I should probably start paying into my pension then, I had this whole plan to trick you into caring for me in my old age and now that's straight down the pan. What the hell am I supposed to do now, Livia? You could have told me this earlier. MONTHS of prep work, wasted. Inconsiderate...

Best you find out now while you've got time to make other arrangements.

How could presumption of guilt ever be a good thing? Surely so many more innocent people would be wrongly sent to jail under a system like that?
