I'm fairly sure the decimal point has been misplaced and they in fact received 182% of the vote

A 12% difference at the top 2 is close.

They're saying that James won with 56% of the vote whilst Austin got 44% at a rough estimate of the top two votes.

So if James lost one of his factors tonight like not being from the UK as well, then Austin would've more than likely won with how close the vote was anyway.

And with Natasha (which I've just realised is what you're on about) that's after adding the top two's percentages together while keeping the others vote into play for some reason.

My guess is that when Natasha left that she polled about 20% of the vote.

It makes sense really...

Let's say James got 45% of a 100 votes cast and Austin got 34% of votes cast. James got 45 votes and Austin 34.

Total votes between them is 79

James's percentage of that is...57%

So James probably went from being on 52% (2% between them) to 57% in the last 5 minutes. The lead did not jump by 10% but about 5%

So how did the couple even get into the Top 4 in that week?

The eviction between Austin, Bobby, Janice and Jenna must have been a landslide like 90%. :joker:

waterhog 25-09-2015 08:18 AM

the percentage sounds very applaud able if its correct.

Probably, Emma only said when it got down to the last 2 when Natasha was placed 3rd,that the gap between James and Austin was only around 2%.
You are spot on.

Imagine 30% of the voting public willing to spend money on Austin ****ing Armacost. I dispair, I really do.

bots 25-09-2015 10:06 AM

It would be nice to know the number of total votes the winner received, then we could get some context for the %

For example, if there were only 1000 total votes, then the difference between 1st and 6th is relatively small, if there were 1 million votes, it wasn't close at all

Well it's C5 so they probably only get about 200,000 votes cast for a final these days and the winner only gets like 70,000 of those votes. If there was 2% separating James and Austin, that would probably be somewhere around a few thousand votes.

BB finales don't get millions of votes cast anymore like the golden days did a decade ago.

I don't understand how Stevi & Chloe topped so many votes and then got such a little win percentage?

y.winter 25-09-2015 11:49 AM

Messy voters.

Exhausted fanbase?

Beetlejuice 25-09-2015 01:02 PM

The reason Chloe and Stevie got in the top 4 was because Austin had had a go at Chloe who broke down. Sympathy vote.

Bobby, who would have been expected to be top 4 wasn't featured much during that vote to save, so he probably slipped into 5th.

Crimson Dynamo 25-09-2015 01:38 PM

not mostly young girls voting again
