I agree completely.

I also hate how the media deal with these stories too, say if it's a decent looking female they post pics of them all dressed nice with make up etc or you get headlines like 'glamourous teaching assistant sleeps with boy' and then you get people saying things like 'what a lad' etc etc now if you swing the story around and it's a male teaching assistant it's a completely different story.

Regardless of what gender those involved are it's completely unacceptable.

Absolutely agree. Also, can I point out that the majority of the time it's men that make those comments as well. So you have some men screaming reverse sexism which is fine but they need to realise that it's mostly men enforcing that reverse sexism. I think the majority of women would as disgusted by either male or female teachers in this kind of situation.

If I remember right, when that episode came out there was something similar going on in the US. A teacher had been having sex with various teenage boys but absolutely everything in the media was just about how hot she was, "teachers didn't look like that when I was at school!!", and all of that.

I know age isn't entirely the point, but I swear, people would have less problem with an attractive 40 year old female teacher having a relationship with a 13 year old boy than they would with a 30-something year old male teacher and a 16 year old female pupil. There's this perception that the girl must have "been groomed" whereas the boy is "lucky!".

Crimson Dynamo 30-09-2015 09:26 AM

The devious breaking of trust is unforgivable.

Kyle 30-09-2015 09:26 AM

It's totally wrong and I can see the hypocrisy and double standards when you switch genders but looking at this from the perspective of a red blooded male that was once a teen this is a fantasy for a lot of lads at that age so when we are talking about people calling him 'lucky' in my opinion yeh he is lucky. I'm well jealous myself. I'd have loved it if I was the kid.

...mind you I have to say, when I was at school a long time ago..we had a male tutor who was considered 'hot' and the subject of lots of crushes for some girl pupils..he was 27yrs old, with a new wife and young baby..I only really knew his age was what it was exactly because he and a 16yr old student had an affair and obviously it was a HUGE scandal and talking point, so his age was mentioned....I know she was 16yrs old and not a child in the eyes of the law but still, this was all in school ours and in the school itself and so a betrayal of trust and duty of care..from what I recall, there was no 'grooming' thoughts but more that she was the one criticised and being called pretty horrific things...she also became pregnant by him, by the way...

..yeah, I can understand that as well and how it becomes the 'thing to say' as well I guess..oh wow, my teachers never looked like that...

And again, it's other men that reinforce that view, just look at the comments in this thread alone for example

If I were having a sexual liaison with a female teacher as a 15 year old lad the last word I'd be using is 'abused' I'll tell you that.

Look at the end of the day I said it's wrong and I totally understand the double standards but I'm not gonna sit and lie and pretend that if I knew this lad when I was in school that I wouldn't be patting him on the back and teling him well done for doing what we all dreamed of.

Northern Monkey 30-09-2015 10:02 AM

Everyone knows it's wrong.Nobody's stupid enough to think otherwise.I get what Kyle is saying.Looking at it from the 15 year old lad's perspective.I still remember being that age.I'd get a stiffy from the vibrations of the bus seat.Obviously it's wrong!Nobody thinks otherwise. His parents will obviously be furious.

Ammi 30-09-2015 10:10 AM

..that's a bit too much information there Paul...probably why you didn't save bus fare and walk instead...

Sorry.:joker:
I think it's true of most lads that age though was my point. Many blokes remember what it was like to be that age...The frustration,Like torture:laugh:

Livia 30-09-2015 10:58 AM

I fail to see what a fifteen year old boy could offer a thirty year old woman. Inexperience and gratitude isn't such a turn on.

She should get the same treatment at a 30 year old male would get if he went with a 15 year old girl. The punishment has to be seen to be equal. At least her career's over.

Abuse of power, trust, and since an under-16 cannot legally consent to sex, it's also rape technically.

She should be in jail.

Not often that we agree, but well said!

as always the double standards are never ever brought up by the mainstream media or politicians....the whole issue here of a women raping a minor is based on power manipulation exploitation grooming etc etc and it will leave lasting psychological damage on the boy , not to mention the enormous impact it will have on his lfe

Johnnyuk123 30-09-2015 09:02 PM

And we are all suposed too beleive that this kid hasn't bragged about it to his mates on the playground? :joker::joker::joker:

As sick as it sounds there are probably quite a few attractive 14/15 year old guys and girls, why can't these Teachers wait a year or two before ****ing them?

Absolutely agree, you should have a word with your fellow men who aren't taking it seriously with the "lucky guy" comments and the like

Kyle 01-10-2015 09:08 AM

I give up. I've said on multiple occasions it's obviously wrong but if you seriously think that a young 15 year old lad who gets approached for sex by an older woman like the one in this thread would not be thanking his lucky stars then you obviously don't talk to men.

That's all I (and northern monkey to his credit) have been saying on this thread but as usual in serious debates all that gets looked over for something to be offended about.

I'm not offended by it, I'm just making sure that the truth realises that alot of times his fellow men and not women are to blame for reverse sexism/double standards :hee:
