Yes but with things like that it's different because you have to pay if you attend the concert. With the wedding, the guest wouldn't have had to pay anything if she had shown up and eaten the food, so it seems totally pointless to me that she would be charged for not showing up and not eating the food. Sure it's rude, but not a chargeable offense imo. Just bad manners
