it's horrible to make light of the situation though, i wish him all the best, he sounds like a good guy and very loyal to his friends. let's all hope he pulls through this.

the odds must be staggering

Guys if it was in a bar, more than likely whoever stabbed him was drunk and trying to start a fight or thought he was going to be in one.

This isn't the movies.

The stabber wanted to stab his Mate not him.

I don't think it's that much of a coincidence, as has been said it's likely just that he's the sort of guy who will "step in" when trouble starts in any situation. Which is noble, yes, but will inevitably end in getting hurt sooner or later.

Well... yes, I agree with that. There's no denying that, LOL. But the new article didn't seem very clear and you have certain news companies/people who refuse to say terrorist these days, so you never know. all I was saying is that it wasnt unreasonable to assume that it was an act carried out by someone who wanted to finish the job of killing him off.

Poor lad he seems to throw himself into the jaws of adversity, so pleased he lives to fight another day...what a guy!

You're actually supposed to call them "people of terrifying origin" now. "Terrorist" is derogatory :nono:. Terror shaming, check your privilege.

I'm probably the most 'PC' person on here, but literally nobody is saying it's wrong to offend terrorists.. why do you think I prefer the term 'Daesh' to 'ISIS'?

(Daesh is actually an arabic swear that many muslims refer to ISIS as, because it's a way to mock the terrorists and apparently they hate the word. It means 'disunity' or something I cant remember the exact translation)
