yes the paperwhites will not glare but the fire's will as they are LCD (although for a few pounds you can get an anti glare screen protector)

Actual books, kindles are bad for eyesight.

No glare in bright sunlight

Unlike reflective tablet and smartphone screens, the latest Kindle Paperwhite reads like paper – no annoying glare, even in bright sunlight.
Won't tire your eyes in the dark

Kindle Paperwhite guides light towards the surface of the display with its built-in front light – so you can read comfortably without straining your eyes. Adjust your screen's brightness for great reading in any light.
Charge monthly, not daily

Kindle Paperwhite won't leave you tethered to a socket. A single charge can last up to six weeks (based on half an hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at ten).
Read comfortably with one hand

Thinner than a pencil, lighter than a paperback. Hold Kindle Paperwhite comfortably in one hand for long reading sessions.
No distractions

Kindle Paperwhite is purposely designed as a dedicated E-reader. Indulge your love of reading without interruptions such as e-mail alerts or push notifications.

But I love those old bits of paper. :worry:

I get why some people choose Kindles and e-books etc, but they're just not for me.

I'm not the biggest Book reader.

But I do prefer physical copy to it being put on a Kindle, the latter just feels too clinical.

Probably would have voted actual books when this thread was made but I got a kindle paperwhite a while back and it's amazing. I've read a lot more since I've had it and read books and authors which I would never have known existed. You get to download a free sample of any book on there and you get recommendations based on what you've already read.

I do still read the odd book because it is nice to have a physical copy sometimes but I use the kindle a lot more
