:fist: I had to take middle girl LT to her new Horses job, give smallest boy LT his weekly bath and watch MOTD with smallest boy LT as per our Sunday routine. I now have to work for 3 hours and then go and see me old mum

They served me Champagne, no white wine or offer of a wee dram :nono: and the talk was 90% fishing. They did mention they had a neighbour dispute in the Cotswolds (:idc:) and i did mention my brother is a senior partner in Edinburgh's top law firm just for information you know...

But they were fine, it will take them a time to learn our ways and it seems they will not properly move in until Spring. She is 10 years younger than him (he has a handlebar moustache). Their dog was lovely (3 more to come).

and I got back in time for the X so all was well.

It was evident from the start that she too was miserable - but not through any natural inclination - but rather because her 'joy de vivre' had been slowly smothered over the years of a loveless marriage, by his misery.

At first, she barely looked at LT, but as the brandy warmed in her slender, immacutely manicured hands and as LT warmed into his natural repartee, she began to notice him, and very soon, she found herself increasingly smiling, and something stifled and lost deep within herself began to waken.
In the early hours, her husband's snoring as he lay asleep in the oversize armchair in their lounge, was drowned out by her and LT's mutual laughter.

They had not only moved from their respective seats onto the fireside sofa, but also moved closer together on that sofa, despite it being a four seater.

Though it was only a relatively short time before she and LT were embracing, it it was an event she had dreamt about for almost twenty years....

I like the way you seemed to offer the fact he has a handlebar moustache as a reason why his younger wife is with him :fan:

Thank you Jenny, you are most kind. I have had 3 very near misses with TV Drama scripts, have had a couple of short stories published, and am on chapter 8 of a novel I've been writing for some time now.

I might finish it sometime.

I will send you an autographed copy before it's published Mokka. It is rather 'racy' though.

So the new neighbours I think are not actually now moving in till next year - so today a delivery van was up there way so getting no reply he ends up with me and I sign for a 3 x 4 foot parcel (they had instructed the delivery guy to try me) - fair enough

Just then another big van turns up looking for them and asks for me as i am on on his list as an alternative

2 bloody 3 foot by 5 foot heavy flat pack furniture boxes and one that is 6 foot by 3 foot.

But I am sure the delivery man was early and they had no idea so its not their fault in any way

I had to lug them upstairs to Largest LT girls spare room

Bloody liberty :nono:

Niamh. 17-11-2015 04:16 PM

woo that is taking the piss LT :/
