Somebody wasn't making enough money.

We don't celebrate Halloween/Christmas any other day apart from 31st and 25th.

The same should be with fireworks.

There are 12 days of Christmas Will :fist:

I don't get the whole fireworks thing at any rate, sure they are pretty and colourful but once you have seen one display, they are all pretty much the same.

Can't really relate to this since

1. We don't get fireworks that much here.
2. I don't have a pet.

I however disagree with banning something just because an animal is scared for 10 minutes of a 24-hour day. What do you expect anyway? It's Bonfire Night in a couple days, the fireworks will be over soon.

If they were working over the weekend they might have decided to have their party tonight, or it might be a birthday?

This post says what I expected to be honest.

Locke. 03-11-2015 09:04 PM

It is bloody ridiculous. Every night this past week they've been going off and scaring the dog, and of course in 2 days time it will be a constant for about 5 or 6 hours. The sooner they are banned the better.

It is far more than 10 minutes a day if you live in a big city.

I suggest that you re-read and COMPREHEND EXACTLY what I have written so that you do not MISREPRESENT it.

Cherie 03-11-2015 09:06 PM

Diwali is looming as well :worry: 3 days of it

Kizzy 03-11-2015 09:07 PM

:clap1::clap1::clap1: Well said Locke.

NOWHERE did I state that it was "10 minutes out of a 24 hour day" and some people should learn to read properly. If it was "10 minutes" I would not be complaining.

Johnnyuk123 03-11-2015 09:12 PM

I'd like to shove those fireworks up their backside and light them. Ban em!!! :fist::fist::fist:

Oh i would run out of fireworks with all the idiots around setting them off right now.:joker: They should ban them. Let it just be an organized show on the night away from homes etc. I'm ok with that but i hate them letting fireworks off all over the place scaring animals especially. They need banning.:wavey:

If you don't like noise, then perhaps a "big city" isn't for you.

Set off by the same neighbours that I had an altercation with last week, of course... that time they were high / drunk and setting off fireworks in the middle of the road. Totally mental. And this is a "nice area" too, these just happen to be some marginally well off gutter ****s because he's done quite well in his trade. They're like something out of "Shameless". Honestly.

Edited To Add: This wasn't in the evening, of course, when it would have been a minor annoyance. It was, once again, at around 2am.

This really beggars belief - the low life dragged up scumbag. I genuinely am angry for you T.S.

I hope karma gets this yob sooner than later.

Yes, let me just pack up all my belongings, family, dog, and pay a fortune to move somewhere else because a few dickheads like setting fireworks off.

Why are they dickheads? That's a bit of an unjust insult to throw out to people you don't even know. Why should they stop doing what they like just because you don't like it? It's like Muslims trying to make non-Muslims eat halal during the whole Subway fiasco.

Times like this I'm glad to live in flats on top of a shopping centre :joker:

I'm fully aware of who my neighbours are. And they should stop doing it for the exact reason stated in the OP, it really isn't worth going round in circles about it.

But subways do sell halal whether we like it or not. They have large stickers on their shop windows saying halal. We don't get the option of a none halal sandwich choice in a none muslim country at all.

Where I live, until a few years ago, it was like that. For about a month before Bonfire Night it would be like being in a warzone every night.

But then I think the council, police and trading standards cracked down on sales of fireworks to under-18s, and now you virtually don't hear a firework going off until Bonfire night or the weekend near it.

Marsh. 03-11-2015 09:59 PM

I'm sorry, a thread about fireworks suddenly became about Subway serving halal meat? :conf:

It's NOTHING at all like "Muslims trying to make non-Muslims eat halal during the whole Subway fiasco", and it is NOTHING to do with trying to 'Stop people doing what they like just because we don't like it '.

It is about common decency, consideration for other people and their pets, respect for other people's property, and compliance of the LAW of this country - something yOU should know all about if it's your profession.

These ignorant bastards are BREAKING THE LAW and ARE dickheads.

Locke is absolutely correct.
