We changed underwear every day, but not top clothes and I can't recall that we or anyone else smelt bad.
In spring/summer it was sometimes even less than that as we used the bath to keep tadpooles in. When that was the case it was a stand up wash all over at the kitchen sink. Bring back memories Kirk?

 Does it half Jenny. Our tin bath was hung on a nail in the covered shelter between coalhouse and outside loo, and it was brought in on 'bathdays' - :nono: No,the rest of you - I said 'Bathdays' NOT 'Birthdays' - and put on the lino in front of the coal fire. It was 'filled' to a depth of about 6" from a succession of pans and kettles which were boiled on two cast iron 'paddles' which swung over the fire.

I'm not ashamed to admit either, that a lot of the time our 'bath' soap was a block of Fairy Household Green soap. (Ugh! though )

Happy Days Jenny - piss pot poor but safe and happy.

Grim.

We don't have a shower in the house we're living in atm (want to move soon) but even then I have at least 4 baths a week. Fair enough if it's just washing your hair once or twice a week but that's a bit gross.

I fee disgusting if I even miss one day of washing D:

Are you in a shared house Shaun? If so your landlord needs to get with it and install showers - they are a must.

Shower every morning but I rarely have a bath .

When we are on long sails I won't shower because I get seasick if I stand around in the forward birth where the shower is and when we are going on a lengthy rock climb, we may be gone for three to four days and can't wash during that time. I do take wash wipes with me though.

If he has housemates, they can take it in turns standing in the car park and being hosed down. :hehe:

Haven't had a bath in years, instead I shower every morning. If I don't shower, I feel dirty and my hair gets greasy pretty quickly

I bet it does if you wash your hair everyday. :omgno: That's actually bad for it.

This is actually true. Too much washing (daily) stimulates the sebacious glands in the scalp causing them to produce even more 'grease'.

i get really bad dandruff if i don't at least use conditioner every day. some days i only use conditioner, but definitely use shampoo at least every other day.

armand.kay 24-11-2015 06:13 AM

Omg at the thought of leaving my house without having a shower...

armand.kay 24-11-2015 06:14 AM

I also find it really hard not to wash my hair everyday even tho my my mum said its bad for it.

Ammi 24-11-2015 06:21 AM

..I shower morning and evening, well often more afternoon than evening..when I get home from work...(because I'm often covered in Pritt stick/paint and the like..)...sometimes I think...oooo, nice hot bath but I actually don't have a bath that often because I would probably be tempted to stay in there too long and become a prune....
