Keep talking Kirk I haven't voted in ML yet :hehe:

Did any of these people complain when BFGW was aired, which gave a glimpse of real traveler life if you looked beyond the dresses and the sequins? You bet your life they didn't

Lets face the facts

He is poorly educated and has been, to an extent, brainwashed by his parents about religion. He has been told that the bible, a fictitious midddle eastern fable concoction of books is the template to live his life, obviuously he has not read it but he has read bits and he has taken bits of it he likes to back up his predujices and to hide behind.

"its not me guv it says it in the bible so dont blame me"

Any adult human in this country who thinks the devil is real has issues.

I would leave him in, he wont win due to his abhorrent views and losing will be his medicine as he thinks he should win hands down.

The only thing I complained about (self utterance) during the airing of BFGW was the distasteful way gypsies were portrayed. That programme was about as misleading as those reality programmes about benefit scroungers.

Livia 08-12-2015 11:19 AM

He has a right to his opinion, just like everyone on here. The fact that he's a dick does not alter that. I'm sure he won't be getting many votes though...

The award is SUPPOSED to be 'Sports Personality of The Year' - not Personality who most pleases the Left Wing bullies.

If it is for achieving excellence in Sport - then Fury should win it hands down because he has achieved the impossible in winning the Heavyweight titles - but, alas, I do not think he will win it either now, for the same stinking reasons that sees brave British soldiers ushered into side rooms in hospitals like some criminals because of fear of "Offending our Muslim patients and staff", Christian Nurses and Office staff threatened with dismissal for wearing tiny crucifixes, the banning of traditional Nativity plays in our schools etc etc because the bullying, all vocal, all toxic, 'PC' Brigade - most with sinister anti-UK covert agendas - will intimidate the BBC into NOT giving this young upright WHITE, CHRISTIAN, GYPSY boxer his rightful award.

Crimson Dynamo 08-12-2015 12:21 PM

Has anyone heard from any Christian figure about this issue

you know saying that his views are not Christian?

"Personality" being the operative word here As a woman, I find his comments disrespectful and offensive, I don't think that makes me a "left wing bully"

Niamh. 08-12-2015 12:32 PM

Also can we not turn this into a thread about Jeremy Corbyn please?

Crimson Dynamo 08-12-2015 12:35 PM

what personality has he got?

all I can see is a misogynistic, ignorant, misinformed bully?

Yes he won the title beating an old man who held it for 10 years as the weight was so piss poor

but where is the so called personality?

Tyson Fury responds to critics after accusations of homophobia and sexism: "Suck my balls"
Petition to have him removed from BBC's Sports Personality of the Year shortlist passes 90,000 signatures.

Over 90,000 people have now signed a petition for Fury to be taken off the list for his controversial views on same-sex relationships.

Speaking about the protesters in an interview with iFL TV, Fury said: "They can suck my balls. How about that for a bit of heavyweight-champion talking?"

He went on to speak about the petition, which had racked up 50,000 signatures at the time of the interview, saying: "50,000 wankers. That's what I say about them.

"If anybody else wants to add to them, they can add to their numbers, can't they?"

The heavyweight boxing champion previously upset LGBT campaigners after comments he reportedly made in an interview with the Mail on Sunday about homosexuality, abortion and paedophilia. Fury would later suggest that he was misquoted.

"There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the Devil comes home. One of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other is paedophilia," he was quoted as saying.

He has also made controversial remarks about Olympic and world champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, saying that "she's good, she's won quite a few medals [and] she slaps up good as well.

"When she's got a dress on, she looks quite fit."

This year's Sports Personality of the Year will be announced on December 20 at a televised ceremony, and the BBC has reiterated its position that Fury deserves to be a contender as nominees are chosen purely on sporting merit and not character.

A BBC spokesperson told Attitude that the corporation isn't planning to reconsider its decision, saying: "The nominees for BBC Sports Personality of the Year are decided on their sporting achievements.

"As Fury became heavyweight champion of the world over the weekend [before the nominations], the panel feel that he should be a contender for this year's award."

Such a wonderful personality, he definitely deserves to be nominated for it

As much as I love some of the past winners on the list below - A.P. Mcoy, Lennox Lewis etc - what 'Personality' did most of these possess? At least Fury is a humorous buffoon.

Didn't Steve Davis and Hendry win the sports personality of the year, what personalities do they have. Didn't Andy Murray win it a couple of years ago?

Its about sporting achievement, and that is supposed to exclude politics or anything non sport related. In terms of achievement, he won a world boxing title, if people think that's wonderful, he will win it.

They are certainly not MY views and I'm sure not the views of most true Christians. But because he has spouted his extremist views does not make him the 'Devil Incarnate' and I say again his views are ridiculous and offensive but he is not inciting people to kill or other such bile.

In my very first post on this I said that his remarks were ridiculous and offensive, and I am not saying that ALL those who find them so are 'Left Wing Bullies', just that it the same 'Left Wing Bullies' who have shaped the more ludicrous of the changes forced upon our traditions by their 'PC' vocalisation who will use his silly remarks to stop him winning this award.
