In the first place, he attributes his 'Christianity' as the reason for his opposition to Gays and the rights for Gay people to adopt children, yet NOWHERE in the New Testament - the book of the Bible specific to Christians - does it even MENTION homosexuality let alone condemn it, so there is therefore NO mention of the 'rights and wrongs' of children being raised by adoptive Gay parents either.

And this is where these uneducated 'Christians' are not only deluded, but dangerously so.

I have said this before, but it is highly relevant, so I will say it again:

If you were to enter your unlit garage and see a coiled rope on the floor picked out in the half-shadows, and you flee screaming; "snake" - that is an illusion, a misinterpretation, a misperception of something tangible, which is both understandable and harmless.

If you were to enter your unlit garage and see a coiled snake on the floor where there is no coiled rope only bare floor, then that is hallucination and you are either extremely stupid or have a serious psychological problem.

This is the major difference between extremist Islamics and extremist Christians - in the Qran, there ARE verses of extreme violence which ARE open to interpretation, so extreme Islamic Terrorists CAN at least try to justify their actions (however falsely) by citing 'Allah's' word. In the New Testament however, there are NO verses of violence at all, so Extreme Christian Terrorists have no such excuses.

It is the same with Winston and his utterly crass homophobic spewings - He has NO justification for citing his Christianity as a reason for them.

There IS however, a passage in the Old Testament which is highly relevant here, and that is Genesis 22.2 when God said to Abraham:

"And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of..."

God was merely 'testing' Abraham and a ram caught in a thicket is later substituted as a sacrifice, and here the CBB producers have taken the idiot Winston and cynically used him as a 'Ram' to be sacrificed on their altar to their God of Commercialism.

They KNEW of his limited intellect and his penchant for making controversial and highly offensive statements due to 'operating his mouth without engaging his brain', and they cynically signed him up for the show specifically because he guaranteed them the controversy which the show thrives on.

They also KNEW that he was not the most eloquent of speakers and would be therefore ill-equipped to deal with the inevitable barrage of vehement reaction.

Winston is a virtual Cretin, but if his disgusting views had issued from a 100% genuinely mentally and physically deformed Cretin, would we still be as outraged or vitriolic in our condemnation of him?

You do NOT throw a fox into a hen house then whip it to death in angry reaction because it has eaten the hens, and I think a lot of the outrage should be redirected to the shows producers - who are REALLY to blame.
