You're right, we don't all do the right thing all the time, and Darren didn't do the right thing in that situation imo. But some comments are suggesting he did do the right thing, which I disagree with. And he only reflected on it and came to that conclusion because Tiffany had approached him face to face to sort the issue out, which is what Darren had been too cowardly to do. He's not a bad person or anything, we all make mistakes and have weaknesses, but it seems odd that people are blaming Tiffany when Darren was quite clearly in the wrong.

Yes they all talk about people behind their backs, but that doesn't mean they can't also talk face to face. That's how situations get resolved. Fact is, there was nothing stopping him from approaching her to discuss his issue. I don't believe he was afraid of how she might react, he just seems a bit weak to me. It took her approaching him to get it sorted.
