...awww Joey my love....if it's possible for your vet to make him well again, I'm sure they will and I know that your positive thoughts to him couldn't be any more than are possible to be......and Kizzy, I hope that Duke's biopsy, turns out to be not something so serious, I really do...

Kizzy 29-02-2016 02:34 PM

How is your dog today Joey? Thank you all for your kind wishes, Duke is home and sleeping on the sofa :) The vet says initially she's thinking it's just a fatty lump but they've taken a biopsy of it anyway so everything crossed :D

I have my fingers crossed for a fatty lump Kizzy, hope Duke is better soon.

Ammi 29-02-2016 03:05 PM

....ahhh, that's great news Kizzy...and vets see and feel these things all of the time/know the differences so are mostly accurate in their thoughts...hopefully here as well...

jennyjuniper 29-02-2016 03:21 PM

I hope your best friend gets better Joey. The world is a better place for having dogs in it.

Cherie 29-02-2016 03:36 PM

That must be such a relief. So happy for you & Duke.
I know what a worry it is when something like this happens.
Give Duke a BIG hug from me & my furry babies

Since so many have sent kind and uplifting messages to me,I feel I should update you all.

My Dog remains really poorly, there has been some small improvement and he knows I am there but things still look very bad.
He has a really bad infection and there has been only small responding to the drugs being given.

I am assured he is not in pain or distressed so with that assurance I want as much done that is possible for him as can be.
He does now respond to me more,I was told yesterday by his Vet, that I could take on some small optimism as his temperature is dropping slowly now.

Again, thank you to everyone for your kindness and good wishes for him.

...he's having the best of care, Joey and there has been an improvement with his temperature lowering...if wishes/positive thoughts can make a difference then he has a whole forum full of them...and you do as well.....

Kazanne 01-03-2016 07:08 AM

Thinking of you Joey,he is so lucky to have you caring for him, fingers crossed.

Hi Joey just seen this, if his temperature is lowering and he's more responsive that's a really good sign his body is winning the fight against the infection.
Thinking of you both :) stay positive x

Really hoping for the best, not an easy time

Tarryn 01-03-2016 10:23 AM

So hoping he gets better. It's such an awful thing to see your dog go through.
But there are good signs.

Livia 01-03-2016 11:24 AM

Thinking of you Joey xx

First off I really hope you have had good news as to your Dog Kizzy.

Things have significantly improved for mine over the last 36 hours, earlier today he took his first solid food for weeks, his temperature is now well down and today he hauled himself into his lying position with his paws in front of him.

The Vet says we can now be more optimistic and although a fair way to go as he has not been on his legs for near 3 weeks now she does feel the infection is likely beaten now.

Many thanks and appreciation to all who left me your kind messages and thanks to Kazanne so much, who has been a rock for me and there for me these last 2 weeks almost now as my fears increased.
Really, I do appreciate strongly every single thoughtful and kind message on this from everyone.

Niamh. 03-03-2016 03:34 PM

aww that's great news Joey

Suze 03-03-2016 04:12 PM
