I think a few said that before him.

I like this part of Trump even though hes doing only for headlines. He's saying things that the political establishment wont dare to say even though they're almost certainly true.
|
I don't think Trump's position is that contradictory tbh seeing as what he's criticising with the Iraq war is forcing through regime change whereas attacking ISIS now in Iraq is actually what their government is asking for. Trump's ISIS strategy would be like Putin's (and both men have talked about their respect for each other) where he would bomb widely and indiscriminately and not be too concerned about hitting other opposition forces. Unlike 99% of American politicians I doubt that Trump is too worried about Assad being removed from power.

Pretty much plays to his character imo |
His statement doesn't even make sense. An entire religion hates the citizens of a country? Not true. He's grouping radical Islamic terrorists with all other peaceful Islamists who don't hate anyone.
|
He is right that the Iraq War was a mistake though.

I think the west created a problem when it allowed immigrants (legal ones) to practice that despicable stone age religion - the deal should always have been. You come here and the rule is. No religion, no mosques and compulsory science lessons and religion debunking lessons.
We missed a big trick there |
