If I saw the name Cherie written, I would pronounce it sheree.

However I would ask the person named Cherie how the wanted it said just as i would too with Cheryl.
A girl at Uni was called Cheryl and I made the error of pronouncing it with the CH,to which she retorted it was to sound like Sherril.

We are friends now and so far I've never made that error again.
