they definitely deserve it. the US men are okay, but the US women are the best in the F'ing world.

A big reason why US is on top is several nations where men's 'soccer' is successful eg Argentina, Brazil, Nigeria, Spain there is a lack of interest in women's sports. There was very little pressin Spain during the women's world cup . Marta 'the female Pele has got to wander across Europe to play these days. She's not well known or loved in Brazil.
As soon as the US Men's team does well * the women's team will be history. * This won't happen any time soon as

They will lose this case I suspect. The US mens team are compensated in line with other men's teams. The US men's team probably get not much less than say, Italy, Uruguay or Nigeria. There is no way in hell a mere women's team US or otherwise deserve to get the same as truely great players like Suarez etc.
Even as a woman I wish women would just accept that in certain areas eg sport they are vastly interior to men. The same with age, physical ability, lrofessioanl status. If the England U13 boys win the youth world cup does this mean they should get paid the same or more than the men's side who couldn't get out of the group (Costa Rica, Italy, Uruguay) in world cup 2014? Exactly. As controversial as it may seem there is a hierarchy in sport eg amateur, women, kids, Paralympics are all very great bla bla bla but let's not pretend they are on par physically with the non Paralympic /Olympic, male athletes otherwise it's just PC gone loopy. |
All International Football competitions should be rewarded in a system that's similar to pay as you play.
Basically each round that a team goes through they get bigger bonuses handed out, whilst the losers get handed out the basic wages in Football. So to answer Alex Front2, yes that would mean that the England U13's would be paid more than the main team as under my rules of International Football they've gone further in their competition hence they get the bigger bonus. Also if that system was in place it builds up a bigger profile for the Under 13's, the Women's team, and whatever other teams that you can think of in International Football. It also might give the some of the Men's teams a kick up the backside too if they knew that their Under 13's and their Women's teams were being paid more for going further in their own equivalent of the World Cup. |

Let's be honest, best sports are with men, best stars...men. |

They're bigger stars than the men's team and they've had more success. Why aren't they paid as much as the men's team when they are the better team? |
^ I dont often agree with you Dezzy, when it comes to serious debates and stuff, but I totally agree with you here. Womens football is huuuge in America. They are the best team in the world and I heard once that the best they make is $50,000 per year? (I might be wrong with that) But still, they should be making 10 times that considering how well men are paid in the sport... I would understand if they did less time, but they dont.... they do just as much running and just as much training.

I think people need to accept that some women can play football better than some men and that's that

Aussie women (Matildas) lose 7-0 to Newcastle Jets U15 boys side. Suspect US soccer federation will be observe this result fervently and gingerly suggest the USWNT play the Seattle Sounders or DC United u15 boys side and, just to, you know, see what happens....:laugh2: |
