Teen atheist. Turned on to hodgepodge, vague beleifs in the transcendental through years of funny business. Was obsessed with Krishna for awhile. Buddhism is literally zero craic. Tried to come to Jesus loads because some of the New Testament is profoundly beautiful and I needed the help but I couldn't keep it up (heh).
Now I don't care. I'm open minded but basically faithless and in the same lager nihlist stew most people around me are in. I'm mostly happy. Got sorted into Ravenclaw, alright. |

couldn't have said it better myself. Isn't that just how it goes  |
I'm not religious but I like to believe in the existence of something more. I neither fully believe nor disbelieve it does, but I just like to think it does.
So agnostic theist I guess? |
None
I don't like calling my self an athiest though I just call myself unreligious |

I'm anti-atheist. I long for the day we bring down the hard line out-dated cynicism and intolerance of radical atheism
|
idk tbh i'm a bit of everything

I was just in the garden chatting to a fairy. You might think that i am crazy BUT ... she did say she knows Jesus. Who's the crazy one now?:hee:

I believe that religious doctrine restricts true human understanding of existence by negating the NEED for truth by filling in the blanks with pretty, or violent, stories. I think it, by necessity, places limits on us - both as individuals, and as a collective - and that our species will be completely "stuck in a rut" on a philosophical level until we move on and seek another form of enlightenment that doesn't come from dusty old books written by fearful men thousands of years ago.
I believe that there is so much more to the universe / multiverse than what is in these basic, human-centric teachings to the extent that I actually find it quite depressing that billions upon billions of people freely believe that "the answers are in there". What a crock of ****. So yeah... I guess I probably am an anti-theist. At least, in every meaningful way when it comes to organised religions and pre-defined gods. |

Why can't people just answer the question for once without trying to impose their views and try and belittle others, just answer the damn poll no one needs a sermon
|
I am unable to vote here as the poll does not have my variant.
I identify as a Christian but not Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Roman Catholic or Protestant. I am a Christian only. |

I'm an Atheist which is ironic cause my entire family are Christian. When I lived at home I stayed at the house while they went to church. I just do see how a god could exist. During school we would learn about the big band theory and then have religion which disagree with each other's belief. My family are both Christians and Bogans so gay isn't something that happens in my family. I'm fine with it but my family isn't.

I'm anti-theist in the sense of having no respect for much of organised religion but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge people's right to personal faith or respect people who deserve it regardless of what religion they follow. |
That sounds like agnosticism to me.

That said, if you don't want to debate or discuss, that's fine... Answer the poll and leave the thread? If other people want to elaborate, they shouldn't have to stop themselves for fear of you whining about it... |

I still class myself as Cherie does as a Roman Catholic, all my Family are and I was born into that Christian faith.
I don't hold to all the teachings of the RC faith but still go to Church at Easter and Christmas. |
