Egypt is in the coalition that's bombing IS. Awaiting the posts that say (and I'm paraphrasing) "they brought it on themselves".

Whoever is responsible for this, I hope they die screaming.

Why can't you just let everyone grieve this tragedy instead of trying to inflame conflict.

This is a debate forum where I am perfectly entitled to comment without getting a personal ticking off from you. In no way am I not allowing people to "grieve". It was fair comment on topic. I don't inflame conflict. If you think I have, use the report button.

If it was a terrorist attack, lets hope we find out how they did it

Yes... It's hard to believe that anyone could get a bomb on board.

Security can't stop a bomb placed in the hold, or who is to say one or two of them were ISIS

That's a very good point.

Arista was saying the cockpit may have been over powered. That would take some doing with 3 security on board, however, their change of direction a couple of times suggests something odd. Hope it wasn't a pilot.

What is the situation with the locked cockpit since Germanwings moved the goalposts?

joeysteele 19-05-2016 08:31 PM

My thoughts are only for the families who have just lost their loved ones, and also thinking of those who have lost their lives today just going about their business.

A horrible tragedy again on a massive personal level for the families of those on this flight.

Kizzy 19-05-2016 09:06 PM

I agree Joey, the poor families :(

many airlines changed procedures so that there are always 2 in the cockpit at any given time, i don't think anything was done on the strength of the door. For me it was either someone in the cockpit that caused the issue or someone took over the controls from outside the cockpit, the plane wouldnt have done those turns if it was a bomb  It's also a bit strange that it happened on entering Egyptian airspace, that would be cockpit information.

Didn't the Malaysian air plane that went missing make some odd turns as well before it went off radar

DemolitionRed 20-05-2016 08:52 AM

It looks as though its gone into sudden catastrophic failure and its done so around the time when the pilots were taking the plane from cruising at high altitude to preparing it for landing.

You will be alreet you have more chance of meeting your demise by falling out of bed than you do being in an airplane crash.

Well I made it, though I did have a very nervous passenger sitting next to me. By the time we landed his body odour was appalling
