No one is knocking him for trying!

It does look better on mobile but on desktop it's horrible. Maybe there should be an option to switch between the two?

I'm sure James will get over it

Glenn. 03-06-2016 08:59 PM

Oop

Jack. 03-06-2016 09:04 PM

Yeah Glenn's design looks a lot better than the current website.

Maybe that's a sign... It's not bad mouthing, just people giving their opinion. To be brutally frank the mobile thing should have been done years ago, along with all the other sites who made the logical switch.

Is there a way that the current frontpage can automatically divert to another URL?

I don't think it's that simple, they'll have to do it by their own accord or use the CSS used in your site or something to transfer it over- if they just used the domain for yours then it'd be an entirely new site.

Glenn. 03-06-2016 10:43 PM

There is an option to transfer registrars so maybe that's it?

They still need to get all the content from the original site and transfer it though. Using the CSS is the best bet rather than having to transfer everything because then it just gives the current site the design, rather than using the website builder's servers.

Glenn, when I tap read more on me iPhone this happens D:

You'd have to get all of the websites CSS code which would mean the design would be able to used on the homepage if that makes sense.
I'd do some googling on how to extract the code and then hopefully we'd be able to see if it works.

I think its because the pictures are too big. Works ok on a desktop

A sign that you're all pretty rude :hee: and to be frank Tom James and the rest of us have lives off this site that take over the time we have on here sometimes and rightly so, we aren't her to jump to your every whim, your attitude was the same in the theme thread too, maybe when you have no idea about people's personal situations you should hold back a bit with your negative opinions or maybe just once in a while you could actually show some gratitude for the things that do get implemented into the forum and the time spent doing it.

We have a large number of new sign ups every on season and our regular bb members that return every year regardless of how the forum looks and believe me if anything does ever put peple off posting it's certainly not the way the forum looks

Glenn. 03-06-2016 11:38 PM

Ok i think i found the css

Josy 03-06-2016 11:42 PM

Glenn implementing the forum into a site built like that is never going to work due to all the mods and custom code James has made and added to v bulletin.

Amy Jade 04-06-2016 12:05 AM

I don't think its really fair to call us all rude just for saying we liked Glenn's design, Josy.

Undoubtedly James does an amazing job but it's not disrespectful to compliment another persons idea.

Ross. 04-06-2016 12:06 AM

Yeah not all of us said anything about the current design

I just complimented Glenn on a job well done

Firewire 04-06-2016 12:08 AM

Shouldn't you be at a hotel Josy?

Jordan. 04-06-2016 12:21 AM

I'm sure BBSpy has a life outside of their website but they still manage to update it every series and having it looking professional.

Glenn. 04-06-2016 12:45 AM

Tea

T* 04-06-2016 01:18 AM

Ah 'it's my way or the highway' yet again. I'm not trying to be funny but if people are trying to give new ideas and a lot of people are agreeing with them then surely they should have some influence in at least somethings... Seriously. It's tiring now.

My posts were aimed more at the people that constantly moan and just come across as generally ungrateful

I'm in a hotel, not sure what that's got to do with the thread

Who's way?

Some suggestions do get considered and some get implemented others don't, like we have said to you on many occasions Tom you can't get everything you want all the time.
