Is it GOOD, though? Because best in years wouldn't be hard... 6 was pretty bad. Though to be fair I enjoyed 5, and LOVED 4, but neither were actually scary at all... Leon was a ninja and Chris a boulder-punching tank, neither ever felt at any risk :laugh:.

We're going to start playing it tonight (wife is a big horror fan).

i'm only a couple of hours in and i would say it's way better than 5 (i never even bothered with 6) it's genuinely scary also :love:

it reminds me of outlast a lot

It's massively different from ones such as Outlast and Amnesia, there's not really much hiding involved.

This, I didn't enjoy the demo either.

Although I seem to remember thinking it was creepy 1st time, I replayed about a week ago and it did nada for me

The demo isn't really a full representation of the game, the puzzles are all very Resident Evil-ish, the game feels like a full on proper classic Resident Evil, while feeling fresh enough to be good on its own merits.

everything seems to go a bit ridiculous after zoe creates the serum :(

like up until then the tone is just perfect, everything feels genuinely scary/deeply disturbing but then right after the serum is made that ridiculous boss fight with jack starts and it's just a ****ing mess lmao like if anything it's more tongue-in-cheek hilarious than scary

i've only played for about 20 mins after killing him for the (3rd?) time but i don't like the ship at all :( idk it just doesn't feel scary to me whereas the house was amazing

also i don't like how they are explaining the story now (or they seem to be) of exactly what happened for the family to end up like that/the origin of the kids, like it feels as though it's taking away from the mystery aspect of the game up until that point and i get a feeling it's gonna be way more action-orientated from here on out which sucks :(

We started playing a couple of nights ago. Haven't gotten that far yet but we were both thinking this;

Has anyone tried this game on Playstation VR?? I don't have it but honest to god I have absolutely **** myself a few times already and I don't scare all that easily. I can only imagine that playing this on VR would result in some sort of horrendous PTSD :umm2:.

From what I hear, this game is pretty much THE killer app for VR.

The only VR I've tried is GearVR... but with a basic knowledge of what it's like, plus having played the game on screen, I can imagine that it's amazing. But I genuinely think I would need putting in the recovery position :joker:.

I've gotten out of the house and I'm in the trailer.

I'm quite surprised at the fact that it hasn't scared me once so far. I was expecting to give up almost instantly but I've not come close to being scared yet.

It's quite tense when you're trying to sneak around the dad but it isn't scary at all, which I don't mind tbh.

I'm late I only just played it this week but did anyone else cure Zoe instead of Mia on their first run? I'm pressed she deserved better.
