big brother need to go to new channel station.channel 5 stay ****ing things up

azi 01-07-2016 06:44 PM

Shame because this series has been so good and the best in a long time :(
People are saying it's because of the Olympics.

Greg! 01-07-2016 06:49 PM

This is probably wishful thinking but they might extend it? Love island finishes in like a week and it gets higher ratings when it's not against love island. You never know

If it went to another channel it would probably be shorter.

Samm 01-07-2016 06:53 PM

Cancel the Olympics?

Xtopher 01-07-2016 06:54 PM

I thought it was 8 weeks long... Until I saw that Emma video.

Will. 01-07-2016 06:57 PM

It's probably will be exact 8 weeks long if it ends like 28th July.

reece(: 01-07-2016 06:59 PM

If Charley was in this series, she would've made the final!

She'd never survive the mass eviction they're planning.

Mullens123 01-07-2016 07:02 PM

Tbh they could've just put it on earlier if it was due to the olympics... the reality is C5 dont have a clue what they're doing and need to give it up to Sky or ITV2 ... the fact the winner is spending less time in the house than BB13 Conor just puts me off my dinner

Cherie 01-07-2016 07:05 PM

If they are ending it early it's down to the revenue, the phone lines are probably not as lucrative as they once were

Surely thats the fault of the producers for giving us two terrible civilian seasons in the last two years. By manipulating the hell out of the show they've put many people off voting, and they should try and bring people back... I honestly thought they were doing a good job so far with this series but it seems they dont understand why its all failing for them and want immediate success after years of damaging the show.

Even more of a reason why they should ditch the public vote! Maybe then the game really will change

That would equate to NO revenue and they'd stop the show.

Babayaro. 01-07-2016 07:29 PM

****ing pathetic. It's just typical though, that the first series since CBB13 that would benefit from an extension will be the shortest ever.

Doesn't stop the US and Canada from producing multiple seasons

And the public vote isn't the only thing BBUK makes money off, they have product placement now too. Make that a bit more overt and hey presto you don't need the public vote anymore

Yeah, but BBUS and Canada haven't been shunted to channel 5 after it stopped being popular.

Vicky. 01-07-2016 07:36 PM

Ugh. The best series for years and its finished before its started :bored:

Absolutely pathetic and honestly a sign that Channel 5 are prepping the axe. Their treatment of the civilian version is abominable - they've destroyed it and most of it's core audience (what's Big Brother's loss is Love Island's gain). Apparently they've also been close to pulling the plug early on the past 2 civilian series due to ratings. Also, Frow's apparently said that the ratings last year were a "problem" and that he wanted 1.5 million:

Honestly, if Endemol really do care about the show and want to keep the civilian version on the air past 2018 then now is the time to try and shop it to other broadcasters (but let's be realistic - Sky and ITV2/Be are probably it's last hope with the damage Channel 5 has done). With the way the ratings for civilian BB are going I can see C5 only going for CBB when the contract renewal comes up in 2018.

andybigbro 01-07-2016 07:47 PM

They need to sort themselves out.

Stop having two CBBs!!!!! And put more effort in to normal BB

BigBrotherfan4ever 01-07-2016 07:49 PM

I'm absolutely gutted to read this news, IMHO I think this best series of BB since the move to channel 5, & the ratings aren't doing to badly either, can't get my head around why they've sorted the series so much:conf::bawling:
