May was against leaving the EU, half-heartedly against admittedly, and only when pushed did she have to stand behind the PM. I have no respect for her as Home Secretary. I voted for Leadsom. She's had experience of working in the real world as well as of being a politician. I like her... she could be a new broom.

I saw them both on TV this morning and thought May floundered and came off second-best.

A Home Office spokesman said: “It is safe to say that the vetting review will not be considering allowing paedophiles to adopt. It wouldn’t exactly go down well with the public.

Spokesman stating the bleeding obvious...

With a name like Leadsom she was born to lead.

_Tom_ 05-07-2016 07:12 PM

Stephen Crabb has dropped out the race.

Cherie 05-07-2016 07:17 PM

His votes might push Gove past Leadsom

This is pretty much how I feel. Really hope Leadsom gets it.

I cannot believe I am saying this after all I have said and thought of Theresa May the last few years but I do not want Andrea Leadsom at all, I think she's false.

Gove I feel has no chance now so for me I'd rather Theresa May.

For me, May makes me fel uncomfortable - like when you are a kid staring nervously into the dark recesses in your bedroom. I have a feeling that she will resurrect the 'unnaceptable face of Capitalism' days of Tory years gone by.

In addition, I do not believe that any 'Remain' politician can - sincerely - ensure a truly successful post-Brexit UK.
