To appease who? Not really interested LT. If people see what I mean then they already know, and the ones who don't... Well...

The OP knows exactly what they're doing opening this thread.

Wont reply to anyone who replies to this as I hope the thread just drops down the list and goes away. I made this one post just to state that TS and Jack are right, its obvious.

There's some real haters of free speech on this forum, it's quite worrying.

i don't see any controversy, only a restaurant trying to earn a few bucks through some topical advertising. Who on earth can find this thread offensive, this superior attitude coming through on the forums recently is really disturbing.

I don't think anyone has asked not to be questioned? Your error is in assuming that if someone is questioned, they should feel compelled to provide an answer. :hee:

I haven't seen anyone saying people aren't allowed to exercise their right to free speech, just questioning what they're actually saying that's all. If I had my way there'd be no rules at all on here for example - but a common mistake of proponents of free speech is forgetting that it works both ways. The freedom to say what you want doesn't negate another person's freedom to criticise what you said.

Shhh! you can't have that opinion or you may be suspected of.....well something:shrug:
It's offensive and that's the end of it.

Owner, Ricky Camuglia, said they thought 'it was a cute play on words'

'We didn't think anybody would be offended by that, it was not our intent to offend anybody,' he said.

..how could he not have thought that it would offend to trivialise and exploit for personal gain/advertising something so important and the pain of grief that families are feeling and also the heightened emotions of many ..'a cute play on words' of people's deaths...I doubt that cute play of words would have been played had he lost a loved one himself...just really insensitive/trivialising and dumb and I guess showing that it's the bucks that matter with his increased profits...sign of the times sadly as they say...

what pain and grief that families are feeling?

This is a play on words on a particular action group not directly on any family or person.

Who said we should take them seriously, people have the right to dismiss them just as the group has the right to form and demonstrate.

This group do not represent dead people or their families

Yes. This group is in large part based on the grief of those who have lost loved ones due to police brutality. People just don't care.

Ditto Girth, the mocking tones are deafening so best to back away, no reasoned argument to be had here, yet another toxic soup of a thread.

Crimson Dynamo 22-07-2016 01:02 PM

or cant think of a reasoned argument so with just cry racism
