Tonight proved that isn't the case...cheers for Jackson - boos for Jason, and Jackson received less votes to evict...

It's a fair point but here's what I said to Vicky earlier:

I do see your point and if we're looking at it objectively, he has kind of been the star of the past two weeks. The thing is though is that when you trace it back to what started this all it was a task manufactured for drama by the producers. You could argue that anyone of them could've pressed the button, caused outrage and then become the focus of the show for the next week. When housemates need prompting from production to give them a storyline, it somewhat undermines their contribution IMO.

It was the same with the Charlie storyline too, without each other they were both pretty dispensable housemates and they made each other relevant.

There's certainly been bigger bores this series like Alex and Sam (who weirdly enough in other series wouldn't even be considered ones because they've still had their moments), but I don't think he's an amazing housemate. Just lucky enough to have been given something to do as a result of a twist

Vicky. 22-07-2016 09:41 PM

I really really wish it had been Jackson..but of the two left she was the right one

Glenn-C 22-07-2016 09:48 PM

I'd rather Jason or Andy went, but it's still an okay outcome

Speedster 22-07-2016 09:51 PM

Livid. She was robbed so the men could be put on pedestals.

EspeonBB 22-07-2016 09:54 PM

It's amazing she got this far bc I thought she was the inevitable first boot but she will be missed :(

Jason's moaned for weeks though so how did the prat get into the final?.

I agree that tasks and other housemates occasionally give Jason some more screen time but i don't understand why this has to be a bad thing and a reason for him not to be considered a good winner? Some of his moments have come from situations out of his hands but he's still been involved in that drama and played his part in certain moments this series. Most of them have had their key/memorable moments in there started off by something or someone else that they have then got themselves involved in.

Yeah you could argue someone else could have pressed the button or whatever but he did that on his own and his decisions were his, he caused that drama by himself and made it one of the moments of the series, forget about "someone else could have potentially done what he did" because they didn't, and probably wouldn't have

While Im disappointed becausd I wouldve loved her to make it to 3rd at least (hopeful </3), she wouldnt have made it, and she wouldve been in the double kn Sunday, so Im glad she has her rightful deserved exit

News article - Laura Evicted

James has posted a new TiBB frontpage article.

Laura Carter was the ninth housemate evicted from Big Brother 2016, on Friday's eviction show.

Since Wednesday, the public have been voting to evict Andy, Jackson, Jason and Laura in the last eviction of the series, just days before next Tuesday’s final.

Emma first announced the two housemates that were safe.....

well there are 3 jobs she could do after BB, a porn star, a call girl, or a stripper, because she is so addicted to sex, and I know she will be two of thoses things, am I right.

Because if you need to rely on producer manipulation to get you screentime and give you something to do, you're not a very good housemate on your own (which we've seen, he was invisible before Charlie went in and invisible once she left until the button press). It's fine getting involved in things off your own back, that still counts because it's your own doing, but when you literally need Big Brother to hand you a task to provide you with a moment, it's not great

But they did? There were three other people who pressed the button, if they'd been a millisecond quicker it would've been their moment in the spotlight and who knows what drama their decision might've provoked? Don't get me wrong, it was one of the highlights of the series in entertainment terms but it was still the producers doing, they handed him the keys and he just drove it. It was probably gonna cause drama whatever happened because that's what they were hoping for

I'd rather him win over Evelyn, Sam and Alex but he's done nowhere near enough or more than the rest of them

It didn't though, boos and cheers don't really tell you much about popularity these days because winners have been booed. Voting to evict is a lot different to voting to win, Jason seems to have a big support and it's growing meaning more votes for Jason. Tellymix is an accurate poll most times and Jason is 2nd while Jackson is 4th. Jason is also 3rd favourite to win while Jackson is 5th.

minny03 23-07-2016 02:47 AM

Sexism rears its ugly head once again. The BBUK voters are so ridiculous. What did Laura do to deserve all of that and then to get booted - as if she is some heinous person?

I don't hate Jason and I barely even care about Laura, but why is she evicted and not Jackson who has been getting so much flack recently? Its stupid and unfair.

No shocker that there are only two females left. The voters seem to hate women.

Samm 23-07-2016 10:15 AM

Dissapointed, robbed of the extra 4 days in the house

y.winter 23-07-2016 10:34 AM

She deserved being in the final.
People need to move on from week 1, it happened long time ago. Why Jackson is still there is beyond me.
