- Jo and Danielle saying Indians are thin because they're always sick from undercooking their food and the comments in regards to eating with hands. - Jack allegedly calling Shilpa a 'p (rhymes with tacky) cunt'. - Accent mimicking All took place before the big argument between Jade. It was the 'Shilpa Poppadom' thing that came after the argument iirc and the unaired limerick. |

White british families tend to be a lot less reserved than south asian families, it's a fact. Asian families are usually very religious and in countries like India and Pakistan the children are expected to highly respect their parents and be very obediant. Of course this is not always the case but statistically there's more likely to be an argument or something in a white british family than an asian family, especially working class white families. This is probably why working class white (or black) housemates are usually the loudest because asian housemates perhaps have a more reserved way of sticking up for themselves which could be considered patronising because they might not be screaming & swearing in somebody's face. So I'm not really suprised that south asian housemates tend to be outcasts but it's definately not a deliberate race thing just a clash in upbringings imo. |

Don't think Sree was bullied (maybe a little by Marcus). Iirc his immediate response to people was 'shut up' which isn't the best thing

They make themselves outsiders.

Shilpa and Deana both were definitely racially-instigated, for sure.
As for Saira, I love the good sis and she is a good girl, but I think she's generally not coming across the right way. She had good intentions, but she's just doing everything wrong in terms of how she's executing those intentions. |

wow Sree was just a sweet angel who was attacked for wanting to wife noreen.

bc people mistake them for being black.........x

Sree annoyed even me watching. Him trying to poison Lisa is a top 10 moment though
|
Sree was...awkward. I don't know if that was a race thing, or because people genuinely found him uncomfortable to be with (then again, most of those people were dicks anyway)
|
I think Saira has made herself an outsider. There is no bullying going on at this stage and no racism. It's all self inflicted.

I don't know how much race plays into it. Ive read stuff about people being less trusting of other races subconsciously... But being black ive personally never found this. I think a lot of it is down to being a smart and sophisticated woman :( they're probably intimidated by the fact Saira can hold herself without needing to go on about drink, sex or just make a fool of herself

Although I think Bear blew things out of proportion (as well as being human trash generally) and what Marnie did at the end was really unnecessary |

She's making herself the outsider, it's not about being Asain....she's self righteous and it pushes people away
|
Their behaviour is worse than hers but that doesn't make her suddenly any better, she's also a pain in the arse ...just not on their level tonight
