If someone's got an uncommon name, it's good manners to make a point of remembering how to pronounce it correctly - whether that's checking how it's spelled, or listening.

I'm surprised Saira had the restraint to stop herself from putting him right days ago. Good on her for finally bringing it up.

Littlegreen 08-08-2016 11:23 PM

Heavy has been taunting her and others for days, she saw this as a chance to get her own back.

Good on her!

Northern Monkey 08-08-2016 11:54 PM

She's been a vile bitch from day 1.

Cal. 08-08-2016 11:55 PM

I think she was just sick of him.

She didn't just 'bring it up' though, did she? She stood over him with her foot on the bed and her hand above the balloon threatening to burst it if he didn't say what she wanted to hear about how he perceived her as well as making him say her name over and over in a threatening way.
He really wanted to go to that party, and she knew it. Would she have done that to anyone else? Not a chance, Heavy is an easy target for bullies like her and Lewis.
You say it's good manners to learn how to pronounce someones name right - is it good manners to stand over someone and threaten them if they don't? Maybe that's what you would do, I certainly would not.

Yes, instead of just standing over him threatening and bullying him she should have slapped him and blacked his eyes. That's the least you should do when someone continually gets your name wrong. :omgno::rolleyes:

They are the two best descriptors for her imo.She is vile and she is a bitch.

Northern Monkey 09-08-2016 12:11 AM

He should have just said 'get your manky foot off my bed now bitch' instead of acting all pussyfied.

..it was an uncomfortable watch and as uncomfortable as so much behaviour in the house sadly...this is a lady (in her own words..)...who has been disappointed in herself with some of her reactions and actions in terms of her role model to her children and who sees herself as sooooooooo much 'older in wisdom and judgement' and this was bullying..say my name, say my name, say my name, get it right, repeat it and repeat it'...when it was something that we haven't even seen her addressing and taking Heavy to one side and saying look this is how it's pronounced and I like it pronounced correctly if you please sir....this is the 'proper grown up lady' is it not and she chose that moment of helplessness and vulnerability because of him not wanting his balloon pricked..(I can't believe I just typed that..)...and laying in his bed etc in a very vulnerable position....shabby, shabby Saira, you had a choice as that 'proper grown up' that you think you are to defend against this behaviour in the house or become a part of it and you really are not looking great with your choices...

But back to your post Ammi i absolutely agree, Heavy has no filter and comes out with exactly what he is thinking, he's told her she interferes too much and he's told her she doesn't need to worry about Bear winning, of course both of these remarks hit home and she wanted to teach him a lesson for seeing through her falseness, the way she dismissed the people in the pod as well "**** the Americans" as well shows she is not as nice as she is trying to make out she is, Heavy is annoying but I don't believe he is malicious at all, her treatment of Heavy at times is malicious though

...she could behave like that as well Cherie and it was very uncomfortable, I mean she really looked as though it was more of a 'pleasure' thing to her, rather than her annoyance at her name being pronounced incorrectly and yet she looked horrified that a box of eggs had been broken by Bear...

I actually found that scene really uncomfortable to watch, it was literally 'Say what I want to hear about myself or I'll do something you don't want me to do' there was no need for it at all, he clearly meant no malice in not being able to pronounce her name, she just took an opportunity to feel powerful over someone and she chose someone her pals already dislike, it was horrible to watch and I'm extremely disappointed in Saira for joining in with the bullying of Heavy.

:clap1:

She was annoyed from earlier when Heavy D 'dared to challenge her' and pointed out how she always sticks her nose into other people's business, He was right.

So she bore the grudge, let it stew and then when she had the chance, she verbally and physically intimidated him while he lay in his bed

It made me feel SICK watching it, the amount of malice and intimidation coming from Saira, standing over him, deliberately making him feel small. Just like Lewis did the other night, making Heavy say please and thank you for that half drunk glass of stolen wine.

It's disgusting behaviour from children, let alone from adults. Deliberate malice and intimidation. Very, very uncomfortable to watch.

rubymoo 09-08-2016 09:23 AM

She was a mean girl to Heavy last night, she's supposed to be educated and yet she stood menacingly over Heavy telling him to repeat, repeat, repeat her name and demanding he say what she wanted to hear, she picked on someone who at that point was at their most vulnerable, nasty, nasty woman.

I agree I didn't like that bit at all.. I wanted to knock her foot off his bed turn round and fart on her!

She did the same with Chloe when Chloe was having a bath , Saira was leaning in on Chloe ranting at her about playing with fire and peoples emotions, then when she was finished her little speech off she went in a rage saying "I can't talk to you Chloe" . Saira then went and sat with Renne at the smoking area to have another rant about Chloe but Renee, just like Heavy..... told Saira that maybe Saira's opinion isn't always welcome or correct.

No not you Cherie xx I don't think anyone's bullied him,he's using his Simpleton act to gain pity, but its all fake, he's not as daft as he would want us to think he is ,he knows exactly what he's doing

Kizzy 09-08-2016 11:07 AM

Mirroring is used to put you on a more equal footing with people, so I guess in a situation where there is conflict it would be to elevate you to their level of aggression?
Is it that the person who has 'no filter' is expected to behave irrationally and the little woman not?

I'm all for a little irrationality now and then :hee:

puzzled 09-08-2016 01:09 PM

He's been goading her, over and over again, every day. That's both hostile and extremely rude, so she blew up. I would have blown days ago. He could have gotten up and walked away, instead of lying there, feigning fear over a stupid balloon.
