I don't mean to stereotype but Scotty T and Darren Day were both considered 'hot' so would appeal to a lot of the voting public and Stephanie Davis was the biggest character in the second half of the series. Tiffany's main fanbase was gay viewers and a lot of her voters on the polls were probably gay men from the USA watching the show from a torrent so we were all probably tricked into thinking she was more popular than she was.
