Whiskey though, nope. Never had brandy and tried my grandmas sherry once as a kid and it (at the time) tasted like flavoured nailvarnish :umm2:

WHISKY :nono:

unless its Irish

What other reason is there to drink like I don't really love the taste of alcohol so I don't get the point of just having a glass of something.

Sometimes just have the odd beer/cider/pimms in the summer because it's nice/refreshing.

But I will drink at parties to get somewhere between tipsy and drunk because I find I'm more open and less caring about being shy/polite. I've only ever blacked out twice and one of those occasions was because my drink was spiked, the other was when I was fifteen.

Can't really find your limit without getting to that state once or twice in your life though so life lessons and all that...

Crimson Dynamo 07-09-2016 06:04 PM

what tends to happen to those who drink to excess is that the best part of drinking is after two or 3 when you feel great, then you chase that feeling down and it does not come back and you start to shut down and by that stage you tend to swap that chase for a chase to oblivion

and then repeat

and then repeat

Plus it's highly calorific.

I've been drunk plenty of times especially when I was younger. Nowadays I like the tipsy feeling, I mainly drink wine with a meal or in front of the TV on a weekend, get a little tipsy and go to bed. If I was out or at a party I would drink bottles of beer because I could drink that for longer without getting really drunk

I mean it's St Paddys Day not Pattys

I count being tipsey as being drunk tbh like if I'm in no state to drive thats what I determine as being drunk.

Well you shouldn't be driving after any amount of drink really :nono:

I'd consider drunk to be word slurring and falling around the place

Crimson Dynamo 07-09-2016 06:34 PM

1 bottle of wine is having a wee drink

2 bottles would be getting drunk and being irresponsible

drinking anything and driving is a big, big mistake

Cal. 07-09-2016 06:34 PM

Tipsy is like when you feel good and confident etc
Drunk is like when you're a mess and can hardly function etc

That's the way I see it.

Vicky. 07-09-2016 06:37 PM

A full bottle of wine would have me totally mortal D:

Assuming we are talking real wine and not 7.5% lambrini or something

I don't drive yet and wouldn't really drive after having even one drink because alcohol effects me pretty quick (like I'm not a light weight because it takes a lot of drinks to get me **** faced but one drink and i feel the effects).

for me drunk is when I start chatting **** and being even more talkative than normal. Also this sounds really weird but I can kind of feel it in my hands when I drink, like pins and needles but really subtle.

I can't feel my teeth when I'm drunk and everyone thinks I'm weird when I say it?

oh that's strange, I wonder why that is?

Liam- 07-09-2016 06:40 PM

A bottle of wine is like milk on cereal to me, totally ineffective.

I've never been completely drunk before, it takes a lot for me to get tipsy so it would probably cost a fortune to get totally off my face :worry:

I do like being tipsy though, it basically takes away the majority of my anxiety around people so I let loose more.

Vicky. 07-09-2016 06:41 PM

The pins and needles thing happens to me too...my hands, sometimes my arms and sometimes my feet

Vicky. 07-09-2016 06:42 PM

Though pins and needles isnt the right way to describe it for me as its so light...its more like...a weird vibratey feeling with no actual vibrating.

Liam- 07-09-2016 06:45 PM

Saying that, the only drink that my body can't deal with is Jaegerbombs, they **** me up.

Drew. 07-09-2016 06:45 PM

I used to go to party's nearly every day growing up during the summer or weekends and i got myself into too many situations i ended up regretting so i try not to over do it anymore.

I only ever drink to get properly drunk these days when i'm with friends who are also drinking or if we're playing drinking games. But yeah, i love it, i always try and encourage friends to play drinking games and stuff
