I already knew exactly what you were referring to and I still don't see how it was in any way relevant

looks like he slipped

sorry to disappoint your prejudice

I think I'll trust every single news article (and, y'know, the leader of the party) which clearly states a fight took place on this one, LT :) Not to mention you're trying to defend a party which has its foundations based on prejudice, which is ever so slightly ironic

Rob! 06-10-2016 06:43 PM

I do not see how you can defend UKIP by using the word prejudice. It just doesn't work. The whole party is based on the idea of prejudice so surely you'd be encouraging this?

Rob! 06-10-2016 06:43 PM

Oh what MB said

No the whole party is based on the idea of the United Kingdom being independent. The clue'sin the name. What's predjudiced about independence?

MB. 06-10-2016 06:58 PM

If the whole party is based on the idea of the United Kingdom being independent then they should have ceased to exist by now

I kind of agree.I don't think there will be a need for them once we've left the EU.Unless someone tried some shady **** like calling for a second referendum or something.I think party's days will be numbered once we've been out for a year or so.

MB. 06-10-2016 07:03 PM

Especially when the Tories seem dedicated to doing much of what UKIP had wanted to do beforehand anyway

Rob! 06-10-2016 07:03 PM

Plus are you genuinely trying to say that not one of UKIP's policies has a single undercoat of prejudice to them?

Which policies are predjudiced?

Rob! 06-10-2016 07:16 PM

Is a party specialising in making the United Kingdom an "independent" nation and so therefore having as little interaction with other countries as possible not enough?

I think you may be a little confused.UKIP don't want us to have 'as little interaction with other countries as possible'.They just want us to not be dictated to by an unelected organisation.UKIP want us to be able to create our own laws without that organisation telling us we can't because it contradicts their agenda. They want us to have sovereignty in our own country. They don't want to exclude people from outside the EU's cosy little club who do discriminate against non EU countries.

Not the nicest of images to be pasted over every front page is it

Jack_ 06-10-2016 09:47 PM

Churchill once said the biggest argument against democracy was spending five minutes with an average voter. I'd say the biggest argument against a free press (or rather, the existence any [tabloid] newspapers in general) is one glance and the next day's front pages

omg, i agree

That picture and headline are just nonsense as the guy collapsed long after the altercation

MTVN 06-10-2016 09:59 PM

Not a nice image but then that's why you probably shouldn't take part in punch ups in the European parliament

Its unbelievable what a shambles Ukip are. It's silly to compare them to the Tories or Labour because Ukip have hardly any history, a small membership and only one MP and yet they suffer from deeper division and more controversy than any other party. Problem is that there are moderate figures in the party like Carswell, Suzanne Evans and even Neil Hamilton who are right-libertarians which is what Ukip originally was but now they are despised by the rest of the party. Carswell regrets ever joining Ukip, you can see that in every interview he does

MB. 06-10-2016 10:02 PM

Still interested in hearing LT's inside source as to the fact that no punches were in fact thrown and no one collapsed and how time is just a construct etc
